Sentence -এ Suffix দদযে Noun দেনায উ঩ায়ঃ

I. -er ফা –or ; -tion ফা –sion; -ness; -ment; -ship; -hood; dom; ism; th; ty; cy আতযাধদ Suffix
ধ঴য঳যফ ফ঳যর তা ধনধিযে Noun. Inspect – Inspector; Invent – Inventor; Express –
Expression; Emancipate – Emancipation; Kind – Kindness; Great – Greatness; Embezzle
– Embezzlement; Disappoint – Disappointment; Friend/Friendship; Kin/Kinship;
Brother/Brotherhood; Child/Childhood; Freedom, Wisdom ;Patriotism ; Truth; Strength;
Honesty; Poverty; Fancy; Agency.
II. Suffix –ent দক –ence দত; -ic ফা –tic দক –ism-এ; -al দক –ity দত রু঩ােয কযযর তাযা
95% দিযে Noun ঴যয় মায় । দমভন- eloquent – eloquence; coherent – coherence;
competent- competence; dynamic – dynamism; local – locality.

I. স্থানটি subject ফা object ঴যর তা Noun ঴যফ।যমভন- Failure is the pillar of
success. I want success.
II. Gerund, Participle এফং Infinitive এয Object ঴যর তা Noun ঴যফ। দমভন-
Following instructions is not so easy. Glowing eyes made us panic. To earn
confidence you need a lot of practices.

দমভন- A thing of beauty is joy forever.
V. Adjective এয ঩য একটি ভাে Word থাকযর তা ধনধিত Noun ঴যফ। দমভন- We
were in grave danger.
VI. The + of – এয ভাযে দকান একটি Word থাকযর তা ধনধিত Noun ঴যফ। দমভন-

Uncountable Noun- ফরযত ঳াধাযনত Abstract noun- দক দফাোয়; beauty, love,
psychology. Noun Countable ফা Uncountable উবয়আ ঴যত ঩াযয।

Uncountable Noun Singular Verb গ্র঴ন কযয, এফং Pronoun ধ঴য঳যফ this/that এফং it দরো
঴য়। দমভন- This milk is off. I’ll pour it down the sink.

2. ধকছু Determiner/adjective শুধু Countable Noun এয ঩ূযফব ফয঳। এযা ঴যরা few, a few, the few,
onlya few, very few, many, several আতযাধদ। দমভন- how many boats but NOT how many waters. a
few students but NOT a few information.

 3. ধকছু Determiner/ Adjective শুধু Uncountable Noun এয ঩ূযফব ফয঳। এযা ঴যরা little, a little,
the little, only a little, much, less আতযাধদ। দমভন- much furniture but NOT much people. Less
independence but NOT Less books.

4.ধকছু Determiner/Adjective উবয় ধযযনয (Countable/Uncountable) Noun এয ঩ুযফব ফ঳যত

঩াযয। এযা ঴যরা some, most, rest, all, more, majority, minority, a lot of/lots of আতযাধদ। দমভন-
some boats or some water, more money, more applicants, most of the rice, most of the bananas
আতযাধদ।

5. ভযন যােযফ- Countable Noun এয ঩ূযফব number of ফয঳ এফং Uncountable Noun এয ঩ূযফব amount of
ফয঳। দমভন- a large number of boats but NOT a large amount of boats; a large amount of water
but NOT a large number of water.

6. ধনযেয Noun গুযরা Uncountable। তযফ, এযদযযক Plural কযযত ধনযেয Structure- টি ঄নু঳যন
কযযত ঴য়-

঳ংেযা + ঄ং঱ ফােক + (of + Noun)। দমভন- two loaves of bread, five blades of grass,
three pieces of advice/music etc. Exceptions: two bars of soap, two bolts of lightning, two
claps of thunder, and two gusts of wind.

A. Demages ফরযত দফাোয় ‘Money paid in compensation’. দমভন- He received damages for his
injuries.

B. দকান একটি ধফয঱ল দিযে Knowledge এফং education দফাোযত এযা Countable এফং Singular.

দমভন- I had a good education. A knowldges of Spanish is essential.

C. A help ফরযত দফাোয় ‘helpful’.দমভন-Thanks. You’ve been a great help.

উযেেয, উ঩যযয কধত঩য় Noun এয Countable form ও যযয়যছ। দমভন- suitcase countable, ঄থে

একটি ধনধদব ষ্ট্ Feelings দফাোযত Countable ও ঴যত ঩াযয। দমভন a fear of dogs, hopes for the
future; an intense dislike of quiz shows.উযেেয, pity, shame, wonder, relief, pleasure এফং
delight এযা complement ধ঴য঳যফ ফ঳যর singular form ঴যফ।যমভন- It seemed a pity to break up the

8. Food ফা Drink এয পযভাযয়঱ প্রদান কযযত ঄থফা এযদয portion ঳ংক্রাে অযরােনায় এযা
Countable ধ঴য঳যফ ফয঳। দমভন- I’ll have a lager. (=a glass of lager), Two sugars. (=two
spoonfuls of suger), Three coffees, please. (=three cups of coffee).

9. ‘kind of’ প্রকাযযয/ধযযনয এভন ঄থব দফাোযত Uncountable Noun ও Countable – এয রু঩
ধাযন কযযত ঩াযয।

These lagers are all the same. (=kinds of lager)

There are lots of different grasses. (=kinds of grass)

10. অযযা ধকছু Examples:

Containers ঳ংক্রােঃ a cup of coffee, a glass of milk, a bottle of wine, a box of rubbish, a packet
of sugar, a tin of pears, a jar of jam, a tube of toothpaste, a sack of flour.

Measurements ঳ংক্রােঃ three metres of curtain material, a kilo of flour, twenty litres of petrol, a
