sometimes I am slow at learning but when this happens, I put in my best efforts and try
concentrate more and more
sometimes I am afraid to delegate tasks but in some recent days I have tried to observe and
study people more specifically so that I know whom to trust with how much of the work

Mathematics has always been my weak point in academics , either I performed average or
poor in my schooling years. But I have made sure that I don’t run away from it , because I
believe in one way or the other mathematics serves as one of the pillars for the study of
management , with this thought in my mind I am working on my weaknesses in
mathematics and I am hopeful I will turn it into one of my best performing fields of study.

MY INTRODUCTION

good morning sir, I am harsh Singh, a graduation pursuant from the university of Lucknow.
Being brought up in a middle-class family, I have always been engaged in management of
my resources in one way or the other which inculcated in me one of the most basic
elements of management i.e., EFFICIENCY. I believe in the principal of CHANGE IS THE ONLY
CONSTANT and thus have been going through various phases of my life smoothly. I like to
gain knowledge in diversified fields of study and therefore I have studied commerce and
computer science together.

WHY MBA ??

My love for the field of management comes right from the days of my childhood where I did
management of my resources at probably each and every step . whether it was my pocket
money or the amount of rice in my dinner thal , I always looked for what resources I possess
and what are the points of expenditure for them . My father works in UP police and seeing
him manage so many people on a daily basis and at the same time keep track of the
qualitative and the quantitative resources intrigued me so much . combining all of these
small factors gave me the appetite for delving deeper into the ocean of professional
management knowledge.
I have been a part of various group activities and a lot of times my team has faced
successive failure. Surprisingly the team came out of these black holes with flying colours.
These incidents motivated me to pursue the idea of BUILDING A PALACE FROM NOTHING
BUT ABSOLUTE SCRAP AND RAGS. Ultimately today , it has transformed into a desire to
pursue an MBA from this institution.
An MBA , as I see it , will not only enhance my already instilled and acquired skills but will
equip me with numerous practical solutions to the problems that we face in our day to day
lives or even rarely experience them. I feel an MBA is the perfect blend of what books can
teach us and how exactly do we balance our daily experiences and practical and behavioural
knowledge with the knowledge in books.

Although I was not much inclined towards quantitative studies since my early days of
education , this was not the reason I chose commerce as my field of higher studies , in fact I
was pretty clear in class 10th itself that I am more interested in interacting with people and
study how exactly do we make a group of people with a plethora of traits varying types
work under a same roof with utmost dedication and interest.

My intense interest in the field of management studies drove me to pursue B.com hons
from the university of Lucknow , where I currently live. During my period of UG I have come
to know how the principles , techniques and laws of management work in our daily lives
using this knowledge I participated in a business project presentation in my college and I
won the 1st prize . The day I participated in the competition , I came to know how far this
field of study can go and truthfully saying , the study of management never ends because I
feel management is one of the most dynamic field of study and this makes sure that the
field of management is expanding its dominion each and every moment which provides its
students an endless source of knowledge and that is what I intend to do whole of my life –
LEARN.
Learning to work in a team is one of the first lessons of management , and I think I have put
this fact into practice in my life. I have participated in sports events , science exhibitions ,
speeches , debates and various other group activities because I like to work with a flock of
people who bring a variety of knowledge . whether I have failed or succeeded as per the
norms in these events , I have succeeded in imbibing a large set of skills that are needed to
drive a group of people towards an interactive , laborious , dedicated and professional
performance at the end of the day.

In my free time I like to walk , write short stories and read editorials . I feel taking a short
walk in this hassle of daily life allows an individual to focus on oneself and other aspects of
our life which sometimes get cornered owing to our busy day to day schedules. I have taken
up writing short stories in recent times , I start from visualising an incident from my daily life
and pull some fiction from my imaginative capabilities . After organizing the whole story in
my mind I start to put it down on a piece of paper , but I make sure I follow the step by step
process I have created for myself.
In the next twenty years I wish to spend the first ten learning from the best in the industry
and the next ten in establishing my own coding company.  An MBA will allow me develop a
business sense, people management skills and crisis management skills; tools that are
indispensable to leading an organization. It will give me a chance to enhance my soft skills
and help me attain the professional and personal maturity required to excel.

I believe I will bring with me a unique set of perspective and diversity. I feel that I have good
taste and am creative. I am a team worker and do not shy away from responsibilities.
Growing up I have lived a very regimented lifestyle that has made me disciplined and
tenacious.

Although I always try to work on it mathematics has always been my Achilles heel and
sometimes manifests as a fear of it/mathematics. Another weakness I have is that
sometimes I focus too much on the details which leads to an unnecessary time pressure.

My philosophy/motto in life is that - ' CHANGE IS THE ONLY CONSTANT ‘, something that I
constantly try to follow.

I dream of being part of an organization that becomes the most valued company on earth
within 7 years of its existence.
