TCS is a service provider and provides the service through its own franchises with
more than 3500 offices worldwide. It covers more than 220 countries and
territories around the world with its extensive network.
In logistics business, the more presence means the more trusted you are. People
see you, interact with you, and see you doing your business in their daily life.
This builds the trust. Moreover, their pricing strategy is one of the best that is
affordable for a common man. So, it attracts more people.
Best service, fast delivery, trusted business unit, and timely handling is what
earns TCS a name in the market despite the presence of a strong competitor in
terms of product pricing i.e. Pakistan Post. The quality of service outclass the
latter.
Customers Response
The basic need for a customer is the safe, and timely delivery of their parcel at
an affordable cost. There are other services too but each of them either fails in
cost (like DHL) or timely service (like Pakistan Post). TCS fills the gap by becoming
the best in each category.
I asked some users about why they prefer TCS.
• Students claimed that they have specific packages for students that makes
it cost-effective.
• Businessperson claimed that they trust TCS because their products
remain safe and on-time with the courier company. TCS has special offers
for businesses of each category that makes TCS more feasible than other
options.
• Another routine user claimed that he prefer TCS because of the tracking
options they offer and because they never late without a reason.
• There was an old man receiving his medicines from TCS. When I enquired,
he responded that his son always send medicines through TCS. Pakistan
Post has strict drug polices that cause hurdles for medicines. TCS, on the
other hand, is simple and easy.
As you see that TCS cover every sector of our society and their customers belong
from each field of life.
Relationship Tools
The biggest tool of marketing that TCS uses is its physical presence. Whether it
be their offices, delivery vans, or even delivery persons; everything has the same
color that you can distinguish from a long distance.
TCS made their presence so wide that even in your daily life from home to office,
you will come across at least one of their office, and any one delivery van.
For customer relationship, they have physical offices in almost all major cities.
Moreover, their helpline works 24/7 while the online channels include social
media, Email, and website.
In the start, they ran TVCs too but with the passage of time, now they rarely run
any TVC as every person is already aware about them.
