This card was the hardest one to develop … with a dark, night-time feel. There are lots of cool
blues, deep purples, and spots of warm glowing
lights in a forlorn and mysterious city. The blood-
bathed colors for Evil Vortex aren’t representative of
the colors in the rest of this set. This card was very
hard to illustrate, like everything else having to do
with this card.
The theme for Den went through a lot of permuta- Next time see what the look and feel of Den of the
