I have a lot of friends, but my closest friend is Suprapto. He is my classmate. He is a handsome and cute. He has a short wavy
but rather blonde hair, which is always combed neatly. His skin is white. He has bluish black eyes with thick eye brush and
outstanding eyelashes. Horsing face makes him more impressive. Although Suprapto is not so tall, he has a well built body. People
frequently thinks he is European or American offspring but he is actually a Sundanese genuine. He looks more handsome when he is
smilling.

Suprapto is a pleasing peer. I am happy to spend my time with him. He is always available to help his friend who are in
trouble. Because he is so smart, Most of his classmates seek him to explain any difficulties in any school subject.

I am proud of having such best friend.

SINGAPORE: A supervisor was jailed for two months for repeatedly striking his Indonesian maid on the head and back with
a television remote.

Muhammad Shafiq Woon Abdullah was brought to curt in Singapore because he had physically hurt the woman on several
occasions between June and October 2002, the Straits Time said.

The magistrate’s court heard that Shafiq, 31, began striking Winarti, 22, abouth a month after she started working for him.

He hit her on the head with the TV set’s remote control because he was unhappy with her work. On one occasion, he punch
her on the back after accusing her of daydreaming.

S.S Dilon, Shafiq’s lawyer, said that his client had become mad when he saw his daughter’s face covered as she was lying in
bed. He said his client thought the mad had put the child in danger.

The Rats and the Elephants

Once upon a time, there lived a group of mice under a tree in peace. However, a group of elephants crossing the jungle
unknowingly destroyed the homes of all the rats. Many of them were even crushed to death.

Then, the king of the rats decided to approach the elephant chief and request him to guide his herd through another route. On
hearing the sad story, the elephant chief apologized and agreed to take another route. And so the lives of the rats were saved.

One day, elephants hunters came to the jungle and trapped a group of elephants in huge nets. Then, the king remembered the
king of the the rats. He summoned one of the elephants in his gerd, which had not been trapped, to go seek help from the king of the
rats.

The elephant went to the rat king and told him about the trapped elephants. The rat king immediately took his entire group of
the rats and they cut open the nets which had trapped the elephants herd. The elephants herd was totally set free. They danced with joy
and thanked the rats.

Illegal Medicine Destroyed


JP. Hundreds of packages of medicines and traditional herbs of various brands were confiscates and destroyed by
Yogyakarta’s food an Drugs Control officers during its joint operation with the City’s Health officers starting on Monday. The joint
operation was conducted by seven personnel at several shops and drug stores in several parts of the city’s Health Officers, Chairul
Anwar on Tuesday. Shop owners found setting the registered medicines would first be warned as they probably did not know they
were selling illegal product.

Ant-eaters are perhaps the most curious looking animals.

DENPASAR. Bali: Environment Organization Fauna Conservation for life ( EOFCL) claimed that Bali is the
biggest site of turtle tranding in the country.
In the period between May through to August 1999, it reported, some 9400 of the protected animals had been
traded.
According to Putu Lisa Kusuma Mustika, a reptile expert from the Indonesin World Wild-Life Fund (WWF),
tortoises have long been killed in several areas in Indonesian, with the highest number in Bali.

Thailand Campaign Againts Bird Flu


THAILAND: In effort to prevent another deadly bird flu outbreak, Thai official Monday began visiting every home in
29 provinces to pass on information abaout preventing the virus.

Gunung Tujuh Lake is one of the many Lakes in Kabupaten Kerinci in Jambi Province. It is an amusing tourist place
to visit. The location of Gunung Tujuh Lake is in Kecamatan Kayu Aro. It is about 50 km from Sungai Penuh to Pelompek

Town Contaminated

Moscow (JP) A Russian journalist has uncovered evidence at another Soviet nuclear catastrophe, which killed 10 sailors and
contaminated an entire town.

Yelena Vazshavskya is the first journalist to speak to people who witnessed the explosion of nuclear submarine at the naval
base of Shkotofo – 22 km near Vladivostock.

The accident which occurred 13 months before the Chirnobyl disaster, spread radio active fall out over the base and nearby
town, but was covered up by officials of the then Soviet Union. Residents were told the explosion in the rector of the Victor- class
submarine during a refill had been a ’thermal’ and not nuclear explosion. And those involved in the clean-up operation to remove
more than 600 tons of contaminated materials were sworn to secrecy.

A board of investigations was later to describe it as the worst accident in the history of the Soviet navy.

Eiffel Tower, wrought-iron tower in Paris, is a landmark and an early example of wrought-iron contruction on gigantic
scale. It was disigned and built by French civil engineer Alexandra Gustave Eiffel for the Paris World’s Fair of 1889. The Tower,
