II. PROJECT RATIONALE:

As a newly created district where CALABACLABACAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
serves as the District VIII office, every activities to be undertaken by District VIII which
will be participated by the schools within the district namely, Bongao ES, Benil-iwan ES,
Budlasan ES, Calupa-an ES, Panagtugas ES, Trinidad ES, and GNHS-Hilaitan
(Trinidad Annex) will be held in our school. The activities like CLUSTER MEET and
different contests within the year participated by the pupils/students and teachers from
the different schools were conducted in this school during good and bad weather
condition. The proponent felt the sentiments of the participants during rainy days where
the contests like in sports were automatically stopped and the players/athletes ran and
looked for a place to hide from to protect them from getting wet.
In the creation of this proposed covered gym the activities to be undertaken in
this cluster will be of great success without hassle. The continuity of activities will be
achieved and our participants, the pupils and coaches will be catered with utmost
convenience since they will be protected from the heat of the sun during sunny days
and from getting wet during rainy seasons.
The presence of covered gym in our school improves our pupils, parents and
teachers quality of life. This makes things better for our internal and external
stakeholders as this is one of the needs of our school to better serve these stakeholders
during the activities mentioned especially in sports. In sports, safety is a prime
consideration. A good sports area must promote safe play. This is a primary concern for
schools where the courts will be used regularly by many different user groups for
practice.
To make this project possible though it is impossible to build this in our school at
the first glimpse of its cost, the proponent would ask from the successful alumni from
the said school to donate any amount that could cater the project cost. As a good start,
an alumnus who is now working in the foreign country donated 30,000.00 pesos for this
project and other donations from other alumni are still on the process. The proponent
would also asks help from the LGU for the realization of this project. With the help of our
school maintenance and other operating expenses (MOOE) budget, support from LGU
and donations from alumni of Calabaclabacan Elementary School, this project will come
into reality.

III. PROJECT OBJECTIVES:

A. GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
1. To gather alumni’s full support for the improvement of their alma mater
through donation.
2. To build a covered gym in Calabaclabacan Elementary School.

B. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:
1. To solicit alumni from this school for any donation for the realization of
this project.
2. To construct the proposed covered gym by phase depending on the
amount donated by alumni.
 IV. STRATEGIES FOR IMPLEMENTATION:
PHASE I
1. Gather list of successful alumni and send them solicitation letter asking
for their donation for the construction of covered gym.
2. Allocate budget from MOOE for repair of school facilities and purchase
materials every release of the said fund.
3. Purchase materials based on the amount received from alumni’s
donations.
4. Send letter to the LGU for any support that can be offered for the
realization of this proposed project.

PHASE II
1. Start the construction of the foundation layout after a year of gathering
resources for this project.
2. Continue the activities in PHASE I as the construction of the project is
still going on until its full completion.
