Each student or pair gets a different bingo card. Each time the teacher calls out a verb, the student
searches for the right square (verb) on his card, and marks it. The first student to have five verbs
highlighted in a row yells 'Bingo', and wins a prize.
Tips:
Make your own variations based on your classroom needs and tailor the game towards
your lesson (Verbs in present, past tense or past participle / Verbs in Spanish / Sentences
with the verbs).
Check winner cards by having the winning student read back the five numbers or verbs he
or she had in a row.

Instead of crossing out a row, you can ask students cross out an “L”, “E”, “T”, “C”, “U”, “O”,
“X”, “N” or “Z” for winning.
Instead of crossing off called numbers or verbs, use buttons or pieces of card stock to cover
the called squares so that each card can be reused. Or before hand out the cards you can
crop only the half of each square (verb) and then the student folds it up if he/she hears it.
Always clarify rules and boundaries before activities and games to ensure each student has
a fun and safe time.
