You can divert a small flow of water. You can fill or empty a container quickly (said "container" might be your sinking boat, for example). You can move water without any chance of touching it, this can be useful if the water might be poisoned, or is just really gross, like in a sewer. In a pinch you can use ice as a platform to stand. Change the opacity of water to give yourself cover. Make dirty water temporarily clear, this can be useful for searching this is mostly useful in places with shallow water, like sewers or swamps. With downtime and access to water, you can form short lasting structures from ice, like a wall for cover or a bridge. For bonus points, at some point reward you player who picked shape water as a cantrip with a Decanter of Endless Water. level 1 Jimmicky 14 points·1 year ago I like freezing holy water into a sword and going vampire hunting level 2 Ocbard If you killed it, it is yours to eat 5 points·1 year ago Yes, never thought about using holy water! Very good. But I do use it to make a rack of icy javelins for the barbarian in he needs ranged damage. It can also be useful to have a weapon that just melts away after some time, it makes murders harder to investigate. level 2 AlamarAtReddit 1 point·1 year ago heh omg... This is awesome... level 1 Kerrus 9 points·1 year ago So here's a big one: You can cause the water to form simple shapes and animate. You can cause the water to freeze. Freezing the water and forming shapes and animating are not mutually exclusive. So you could use this to make a paddle wheel or a corkscrew propeller out of ice and animate it. My wizard uses this to motorboat around streams on a raft. level 1 Feldoth 6 points·1 year ago Create horrific water monsters with repeated castings. Step 1: Turn it black. Step 2: Create the vague shapes of tortured humanoids trapped within the surface of the water, writhing about and reaching out blindly. Step 3: Cause it to slowly/ominously advance on your enemies, 5ft at a time. One of my characters keeps a waterskin affected like this at all times. It's basically damned souls in a bottle and makes a great distraction. level 2 BloodofGaea 1 point·1 year ago Might be worth purchasing a strong dye if you're already keeping it on your person. Continue this thread level 1 DaveSW777 4 points·1 year ago You can't freeze someone, but you can freeze all the water above them... level 2 Pielikeman 2 points·1 year ago And a 5’ cube of water weighs 4 tons... Edit: nvm, the comment below says I’m wrong and it’s 1600 pounds Edit 2: I was right the first time level 1 BBNikfaces Ranger 3 points·1 year ago Create dancing images with shape water. Use it as a visual aid when explaining or describing things. Create temporary walls behind you as you run through a sewer. level 1 Optamistacam Cleric 3 points·1 year ago You could debatably drop it on someone, depending on the DMs rule on whether “moving” the water will allow you to make it float in the air. A 5x5x5 cube of water is MUCH more than you think. That’s 25 cubic feet, which at 7.48 gallons per cubic ft is 187 gallons of water. 187 gallons of water is 1580 lbs of water. Now turn that to ice mid-air and just drop 3/4ths of a ton of ice on someone’s head. level 2 RhimbatPanjotsen 1 point·1 year ago 5x5x5 = 125 , not 25. So your cube weighs just under 4 US tons. Continue this thread level 1 SuperDaleCooper Water Genasi 2 points·1 year ago Convince a cultist you belong in their elemental water cult. level 1 ch0le5 2 points·1 year ago I had a character create a small boat out of ice to get a cross a deep pool in a cave level 1 meoka2368 Knower Of Things 2 points·1 year ago Secret notes that disappear. Breaking open locks by moving water inside and turning it to ice. May need a couple of castings. Create a boat made of ice, then propel said boat. level 1 Catch-a-RIIIDE 1 point·1 year ago To help keep your eleven pet mice in a pouch on your belt cool in the desert heat. level 1 HorstHallandsas 1 point·1 year ago Our sorcerer used it to create and move around a small mirror for us to be able to spot some invisible ghosts or whatever. Not a super fun fight for him but it was very useful :) level 1 Verasmis 1 point·1 year ago Make beautiful ice sculptures. Make ice drinking glasses (add prestidigitation and you can set up a bar that sells imitation drinks, just make sure they're consumed quickly!) Cover a pit in a thin layer of ice, then sprinkle dirt over it to hide it. level 1 EulerIdentity 1 point·1 year ago My Land (Coastal) Druid took this because it’s thematic, but it turns out to be surprisingly useful as well. You can: 1. Dry people off when they come out of the water, by causing the water to flow off them. This can be especially useful in freezing cold environments. 2. Save a drowning person by creating a large block of ice near him. Ice floats and he can stand on his 5’ cube mini- iceberg. 3. You can show your party members and NPCs things, instead of just telling them. Because you can both animate the water and change its color, you can play little 3D holographic movies to show people the person or place you’re looking for, and that sort of thing. 4. You can create instant cover for yourself by creating a 5’ Wall of Ice to hide behind in combat - no concentration required. All of these things require the presence of water, of course, and substantial amounts of it for some of them, but my Druid is in Saltmarsh, where water is typically nearby. level 1 coduss 0 points·1 year ago -Use it to waterboard someone for information -possibly pull water out of a drowning persons lungs -you can force the water INTO a persons nose and throat and/or encasing their head in water, causing them to drown -i remember on critical role they used it to pull water out of an elder brain once, but that's dm subjective -freeze it and then smack the living shit out of someone with a giant ice ball or stab them with an icicle either by hand or by making it float -use it to cut/pierce (water, at high pressure, is VERY dangerous) level 2 Bittershort 6 points·1 year ago The spell says you have to see the area of water so cant pull it out of someone's lungs, it says the movement doesn't have enough force to deal damage so no cutting or piercing from moving it, also I'd say because since it cant do damage it cant drown someone furthermore it says nove or direct it in one direction and shoving water into someone lung is more then one direction (also cant freeze a creature inside ice it specifically says you cant)
Let's think step by step:- The common factor of 32, 45 and 50 is 5- 32/5 = 6.4 meters - 45/5 = 9 meters- 50/5 = 10 meters- So the best option is the 50 meter wire.b. How did you get the answer
