Assalamualaikum wbt and a very good morning I bid to,

The honourable,
Madam Anita binti Man (senior assistant of curriculum)
Tn Hj Abdul Razak bin Mat Hussin (senior assistant of students’ affair)
En Zamhariz bin Hj Din (senior assistant of co-curricular)
Respectable teachers,
Dear pupils of SK Kuala Kubu Bharu Satu.

Praise to Allah, the Almighty for giving me an opportunity to deliver a speech

on this very day, the English Month 2019 Closing Ceremony specially
organised by the English Language Panel of SK Kuala Kubu Bharu Satu.

Alhamdulillah, the English month was successfully hosted and organized by the
English Panel despite various activities and programmes we had for a past few
weeks. The teachers took the opportunity and conducted most of the English
activities in the classroom. So I would like to congratulate to all the English
teachers including the provisional or temporary teachers or so called “cikgu
relief tetap”. Also to all the pupils who participated in the activities held. And
again, congratulations!

Today, it marks the end of the English month, not the knowledge and practice in
using the language which should be carried on and enhanced further. I wish that
pupils of SK1 will continue to improve your English. In fact, it should be a
lifelong process. The opportunities are there for you, so make sure to not take it
for granted. We have numerous media and sources to learn English including
books, newspapers, movies and television accessible by most of us. Believe it or
not, I reckon all of you here have your own cell phone which you can easily
access to the internet. Right? If you play games or using the social media like
Facebook, use English. This is a very simple way to learn English.
Why do you need to learn English? Because English has greater demands both
in school and your future workplace. As pupils, all of you should realize that
English plays an important role in getting employment. Most of times,
graduates especially Malays graduate fail to face interview owing to the lack of
expertise in English Language. It is a sad scenario.

I encourage all of you to continue to use even simple English in your daily
basis. Practice the language with your teachers and friends. For example, when
you ask permission to go to the toilet from your teacher, or when you want to
borrow something form your friends, use English!

On this final note, I once again would like to congratulate all teachers and
pupils who have put their hearts and soul in the activities held during the
English Month.

Now, I hereby officiate the closing of the SK Kuala Bharu Satu English Month
for 2019.

Thank you.
