Timekeeping for Yzo’ Enterprise, using a fingerprint scanner, implements an automated and up-to-the-
minute accurate timekeeping solution. By this improves the payroll computation process by allowing the
payroll module to access the timekeeping data directly. Integration with different modules would allow the
system to produce payslips for the employees and reports for the manager and owner without any problem.
Generally, the system can perform the following tasks: manage all time-in and time-out activities using a
fingerprint scanner for the employees of the business, give the ability to generate, storing, and viewing

The Automated Payroll Management System for Negros Oriental State University – Bais City
Campuses (NORSU-BCC) stated that the part-time instructors process a speedy and more accurate
monthly payroll system. The system is described as an information management tool that visually tracks
part-time instructors’ payroll information, including total hours rendered and late/undertime, calculated
salary, deducted taxes, and displays the desired payroll process. It manages and calculates the payroll of
every part-time instructor, for it gives an automatic calculation. The deductions of tax, including the
undertime and the total number of working hours, will be calculated automatically. This newly-created
system saves time and reduces errors of creating payroll using an automated system compare to the excel
process in the Accounting Office due to the connected electronic daily time record system. Likewise, this

Indico (2016), in his study, revealed that biometric technology offers a high-level verification of
human identity used in many schools and companies to record daily attendance (login and logout) and
producing the employees' payroll. The study uses biometric technology to address the issues of many
companies or institutions. For example, employees doing the proxy attendance for their colleagues,
stealing companies time, putting in more time in the daily time record (DTR), and increasing the gross
payroll amount resulted from buddy punching. The researchers developed a system for employee's and
attendance and payroll processing using a fingerprint reader and a webcam device. The employee uses
one finger to record their arrival time and take off from the office using the fingerprint reader. DTR
employees recorded the system correctly; lateness and under time in the morning and in the early evening
of their official time is also computed. The Employee Attendance and Payroll System (EAPS) indicated that
 the verification and identification of the school campus employees using the biometric technology gives a
reliable and accurate recording in the daily attendance and effectively creates the monthly payroll.

Automating a payroll system can be beneficial to an organization because it reduces the time required
for payroll work since payroll work requires performing a wide range of activities that involves a great
deal of time in recording information, preparing forms, and making calculations. An Automated payroll
calculates and tracks employee salaries, wages, bonuses, tax withholdings, and deductions. It prints
employee paychecks, provides reports to manage employee pay records better, and generates complete
weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax-related forms and reports. Automated payroll can
assure business accurately withholds taxes from employees and pass mandatory fees such as Worker’s
Compensation, once the initial information is input into the system. It is also used in automating and
providing timely and accurate payroll processing for all types of employees. Automated payroll is designed
to process all kinds of payroll transactions for computing and paying employees; hence, atomization
makes generating payroll a much simpler and quicker process than performing these duties

As studied by Patil of Network-based Payroll System Application (2016) stated that the proposed
system is a web-based interface, and it allows employees of the Account Department to access and update
payroll from another desktop system. Expansion to this it can send email to each employee which contain
payslip and bank statements if needed. Will update all the employee's personal information once in the
year, so they don't have to fill the data without fail while the payslip is created. The system accepts
employee ID as a contribution to figuring pay of an individual. If there is any leave taken by him/her, the

very pertinent in today's world. The public wants to get their things done as quickly as possible. They want
effortless and fast access to each and everything. The task of processing the salary of an employee is very
tiresome and time-consuming. Processing an employee's paycheck is a tedious job if done manually and
may be more time-consuming. Hence this process, if automated, would be of great profit. It would be less
time-consuming. The software for payroll management system service on the cloud is provided as a
solution in this paper. This system offers multiple user data access. Like employee or human resources, or
admin, each user can log in to the software by writing username and password allocated to them from the
company. It involves keeping track of hours worked and can maintain a record of employee data, including
their pay, allowances, deductions, and taxes, every month so that new definitions are reflected from the
month onwards, which leaves all the past data intact. The proposed payroll system is advantageous as it
provides a user-friendly environment, increases security, and minimizes human calculation errors.
