11-Euclid
Good morning to everyone in the room, this is your newly elected student council
President Jacob Oliver. I shall take a little bit of everybody’s time to speak out my thoughts and
promises. First of all I would like to thank all those who voted for me, I am truly grateful for those
who believed in me and the people who motivated me in giving this a shot, and above all else
the role given upon me. I promise to live up to all of their expectations and to never let anyone
down. Now that I am this school's leader, promises are crucial to not only blatantly utter, but to
let the students be at ease and give them and the teachers a sense of relief. I promise to make
improvements to this school’s system, be a respectful and exemplifying leader to the student
body, change this school’s tradition to fit modern society and many more. And also my motto is
“Cleanliness for a shinier future”.
In order for my term to be a successful and productive one, I will need people that will act
as my right hand man and help me run the school’s government as well as the academy itself.
So the first thing I will do is not to be biased and search for the most promising and influential
students of this school that will assist me in my voyage for a better environment and influence
the student body to become exemplary students too.
Now talking about the academy’s system. I would like to propose a certain cleaning
method to further ensure the school’s cleanliness because one janitor can only do so much with
just how many students there are. This also serves as a catalyst to mold students into neat and
tidy people in the upcoming future, the idea of having all the students clean their respective
classroom and the hallways in front of it everyday by the end of the day for a specific amount of
time would seem very favorable in keeping the school neat and tidy, this practice is already
being put into use in Japan, and I would like to integrate this into the academy’s system since
with so many hands this task should only take a couple of minutes. Later on when it is finally
approved, the council shall provide the tools needed to clean the premise like brooms, cleaning
cloths, bleach, mops and dusters, in order for this plan to proceed without errors, every
classroom will have a dedicated officer to monitor students.
So as to not soil the student council president name, my name and my confidence, I will
do everything in my power to make this academy disciplined but also a haven for students. The
efforts of the previous student council and the community they had built will not be for naught,
but instead be much more refined at my command!. With this I end my speech.
