Prerequisite
● In order to take part in this course, you must have :

a. either completed the DHIS2 Fundamentals course (available in the


catalogue of online courses) and received your certificate;
b. or -if you have not taken the DHIS2 Fundamentals course- demonstrated
relevant experience/knowledge in the fundamentals by taking our
screening test.

● Events Programs

○ This is particularly useful when more granular data are needed and no requirements
to track and perform individual follow-up.

○ E.g. Surveys, surveillance line list, etc.


Terminology - Tracker Programs
● Tracker Programs
○ These programs collect individual level data and involve the registration and
tracking of an individual, item, substance, etc.

○ This involves using various identifiers to track this individual through the system as
they interact with different programs and services.

○ Tracker is more complex compared to events
