Course Purpose
● This course:
○ builds upon the concepts introduced in the DHIS2 Fundamentals course;

○ provide additional information on using individual data, focusing on the event


programs;

○ provide hands-on experience in analyzing event program data and configuring


collection of event program metadata within DHIS2;

○ introduces DHIS2 tracker program topics for further specialization consideration.


Course Objectives
The main objectives of this course include:

● explaining how event data can be collected;

● describe the event data model in DHIS2;


● demonstrate understanding of event programs analytics applications by
designing tables, data visualizations and maps;
● describe the process of customizing event programs and demonstrate this
understanding by creating an event program;

● describe tracker programs and differentiate them from event programs.
