Overview of issue

The epidemic of obesity is affected by the lack of an

adequate education structure, knowing where/how to find
qualified professionals, and existing disparities that may
influence the rate of obesity to increase.
Mission Statement
The organization strives to enhance the lives of the general
population by encouraging people to take control of their health
and well-being. By providing a platform for unbiased and
scientifically supported information, the organization will
cultivate a community in which individuals can obtain the
information they need to make an educated decision for the
betterment of their health.
How our organization will help

The organization will include an overall strategy to fight the

epidemic by:

● Reforming the education structure on obesity

○ Provide schools & education programs with recommended lesson plans
based on scientific supported evidence for specific grades from
K-12.
● Establishing community networks
○ Mapping community assets such as personal trainers & making them
easier to approach.
○ Engaging Stakeholders & encourage involvement amongst the
community.
○ Identify potential partners such as public institutions, elected
officials, and business organizations.
Public Campaign
Our public campaign idea is to use advertisements similar to this one to help
bring awareness to the problem of obesity in America. We plan to post these
advertisements on all social media platforms and post flyers around schools
and public buildings. Obesity in America starts with childhood eating habits.
Make the right choice today and save your and your child’s life.
How to get people involved

To get others involved we will create easy to follow daily workout videos
to help people get up and get moving. On the website we will offer facts
and debunk health myths. We will also create a free to download app that
offers the tools to track their food intake, calculate their macros,
track water, exercise and overall help the public get healthier.
Offering incentives will help everyone stay on track. Consistency is key
in everything you do. We plan to cross market with health companies like
GNC, grocery stores, and local gyms in the consumers area. We are going
to ask these companies to provide coupons to the people who use our app
when they reach a goal. Once you reach a goal you will receive a coupon
to continue your health success.
