Fees and Payment Schedule 2020-2021

It is school policy to set fees and the exchange rate on an annual basis. The school
reserves the right to adjust fees and the exchange rate annually or in the event of
significant market fluctuation. Fees (except supply fee) are set in the American dollar and
will fluctuate if paid in Tunisian dinar based on the exchange rate.

General Policies of School Fees:

Signing of the Acceptance Agreement means that you accept full responsibility for all
fees and payment schedule related to the schooling of your child.
NOTE: Enrollment is not complete until the Capital Levy has been paid.
School fees must be paid as detailed in this document and agreed to in the Acceptance
Agreement. Failure to do so could result in your child losing their enrollment or being
temporarily suspended from school while we resolve a late payment. If you believe that it
may be difficult to make or maintain payments, please contact the CCA Financial Officer as
early as possible to discuss your situation.

Overview of Fees: (All fees are non-refundable.)
1. Application Fee: Due with the application upon submittal. The application fee
includes English language (WIDA) and grade leveling assessments. Special needs
assessments are an additional charge.
2. Special Needs Assessment: If additional assessments are required beyond language
and grade leveling, they will require an additional that is due prior to the assessment.
3. Capital Levy: After a student has been assessed, placement agreed upon, and the
acceptance agreement signed, the capital levy fee must be paid to confirm your
student’s enrollment at CCA.
4. Tuition: Tuition charges are updated annually in February and available at the Initial
Interview.
5. Supply Fee: Parents are responsible for the cost of their student’s books, consumable
materials, and other resources. In order to ease the process of obtaining these
resources, the school will buy them in bulk and charge the parents a supply fee.

Payments: (All fees are non-refundable.)

• Annual fees must be paid on or before June 1st.
• Special payment arrangements may be requested from the CCA Financial Officer and
if agreed will result in an additional surcharge. At least 50% of tuition must be paid
before a child can attend classes.
• There is a late payment fee of $250 USD.
• For payments in TND, please use an exchange rate of $1 = 2.9 TND

The parents of students who have an American passport are required to pay tuition in
U.S. dollars (USD) by sending a check, money order, or bank transfer to our US account. For
those with non-American passports tuition can be paid in Tunisian dinar (TND), though
payment in USD is still encouraged. All parents must pay supply fee charges in TND.

semester, half (50%) of the tuition fees will be charged, though a full capital levy and
supply fee will be required.
• Tuition is non-refundable regardless of withdrawal of the student at any time before
the end of the academic year. No refunds will be made in the event of temporary
closure due to force majeure.
• In case of extreme circumstances, an appeal can be made to the Director General and
CCA Financial Officer.

Additional Costs:
 Uniforms: All students are required to wear a school uniform. Details of uniform
policies are published in the Parent/Student Handbook. It is the parents’ responsibility
to cover the cost of their student’s uniform. Parents have the option to provide an
appropriate uniform in accordance with the Handbook and sew on a CCA patch
(which can be purchased from CCA for 10 TND each), or purchase uniform tops, with
patches, from the school. A limited supply of uniforms is also located at the school all
year around.
 English as a Second Language: If your child is not a native English-speaker and is
not making linguistic progress necessary to keep up with the curriculum, your child’s
teacher may advise seeking extra support. Parents are responsible for the cost of this
support, if any. If possible, the school will help find an appropriate teacher, tutor, or
supplemental program.
 Arabic classes: CCA currently offers Arabic classes for primary students before
school. Students have the choice of Derja or Modern Standard Arabic. Students will
be assessed and placed in the appropriate class.
 Activities and Extras: After school activities will be offered quarterly. There will be
a small fee to cover the cost of materials. The activities and costs will be
communicated prior to the start of each quarter.
 Field Trips: CCA will take field trips to further your child’s education. Fees will be
charge for field trips to cover transportation, entry fees, and other expenses. These
costs will be communicated beforehand, and parents will need to sign a release for
their child to attend.
 Other Fees: Occasionally additional optional charges will occur such as class
photographs and the annual yearbook. CCA will communicate these costs beforehand.
