Business Development Representative

The Company is a startup working with large local media companies around the world
to transform the local marketing ecosystem through the connection of data. We are
looking for a “go-getter” who wants to build their career in technology at a fast-moving
startup. This is an entry level position. The ideal candidate is a recent college graduate
or someone with 0-2 years of experience.

Strong candidates have a desire to learn business models and sales processes, have a
record of taking initiative, and are comfortable contacting potential members to qualify
opportunities prior to upper management involvement.

This role will involve many different operations, including working closely with our
executive team of entrepreneurs, outside contractors, and demand economy workers
(elance, odesk, etc). The position will develop into a sales role operating with the lean
startup methodology.

Our team members are given great amounts of responsibility and trust early in their
careers. While they work in teams, they often need to "think on their feet," using
common sense and flexibility to make quick decisions on their own. They have
demanding responsibilities, so it is essential team members be energetic. They must
know themselves very well and a sense of humor is a plus.

The Company platform is a distributed data network that powers the next generation of
local consumer and business experiences. It connects local media companies via a single
API to launch new DaaS products based on existing assets and open access to an
ecosystem of developers and new markets.

Qualifications:
• Web savvy and fast on a computer
• Energetic, self-starter with a record of driving results
• Detail oriented, and capable of increased levels of responsibility
• Flexible between in office and at home work

Responsibilities:
• Perform marketing research to identify new business opportunities
• Use LinkedIn and email for prospecting
• Use social media for prospecting and research
• Setup and run marketing automation campaigns
• Research prospects, define leads, and identify decision makers
• Generate new business through lead generation, cold calling, and qualifying
opportunities
• Coordinate calls and meetings with internal and external decision makers
• Manage business contacts in CRM
