Digital Marketing Executive

Towards our mission of pioneering dynamic digital learning tools to develop world class talent in Africa, we are
looking for an individual with demonstrable ability to take charge of our digital marketing campaigns. You will
be responsible for the digital marketing process from campaign ideation, planning, implementation,
measurement, and optimization. To succeed in this role, it is essential that you have hands-on experience
using various digital marketing platforms.

of digital tools to develop innovative talent in emerging and developing countries. Developed over the last eight
years, Sqillpad is the digital platform that offers local curriculum to primary and secondary school students. The
platform offers all subjects including sciences that are backed by a virtual laboratory that makes it possible for
learners to conduct experiments virtually.

About you

You are a proactive self-starter and are passionate about the work you do. You have a minimum of three years’
experience in digital marketing or a similar role and are keen to join a growing organization with opportunity
for upward mobility and a chance to impact lives. You have a real competency when it comes to digital
marketing campaign execution and are keen to show how you can use your abilities to build brands while
driving digital customer acquisition and revenue growth.

That aside, you are keen to take your career to the next step and can deliver results. You are passionate about
education, can see the big picture and are capable of the finer details when it comes to task follow up and
reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the Digital Marketing Executive works closely with the sales team and/or
external partners to achieve specific company objectives such as; increasing digital sales, lead generation,
brand engagement, and conversions. You will be part of a collaborative team at the fore front of our drive
towards customer acquisition and growth. Among others, your key responsibilities include:

• Assist the team in the development of the overall digital marketing strategy.

• Implement digital marketing activities across a broad range of digital marketing channels (SEO,
SEM, Social Media, Email, Mobile, Display)

• Work with other team members to manage and maintain the company’s owned media including
websites, mobile apps, and email/CRM software, among others.

• Manage the creation of relevant and engaging digital content for publishing onto various digital
platforms.

• Leverage digital platforms to generale sales pipeline or prospective customers

• Manage community engagement and campaigns across social media platforms.

• Manage digital advertising campaigns (SEM, Display, Social, Programmatic)

• Manage SEO campaigns

• Set up conversion, pixel, and event tracking on the website and across various digital platforms

• Conduct research on market trends, brand’s audiences and competitors, and end-to-end
consumer journey to drive engagements and conversions

• Analyze digital marketing reports and share insights with the team to develop optimization
plans.

• Stay abreast of emerging digital tools and platforms, digital marketing trends, new
technologies, and share insights with the rest of the team.

These duties may be adjusted as needed to suit the changing business environment.

Criteria

To be considered for this position, you need to have the following:

• A degree in business, marketing or related subjects

• Three years’ experience working in marketing, of which two in a digital marketing role within a
credible organization.

• Track record in meeting sales targets.

• A passion for technology and its creative possibilities

• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

• Experience selling technology products and exposure to Uganda’s education sector is desired.

• A good hold on English language and ability to communicate with customers from different
backgrounds.
