Note: This is not an "ISP Specific" Tutorial. You must visit our forums at cablehack.net/forum
to get your isp specific tutorial. Also remember, if you're on an internet provider which requires using
the dynamic tutorial you must use your current subscribed modem to do the Mac scanning. If you
cannot for some reason see our website please contact us at tscompusa@gmail.com

Please connect the Network cable to the back of the modem directly into your Network card on your
Computer.
Next, We need to make sure the modem is detected by the operating system, by going to the following
location
in your Windows Operating System highlighted below. Please keep the Coaxial Cable disconnected at th
time.
Start > Control Panel > Network Connections.

Indicates Connected    Indicates Disconnected

Please note: You may have more then one local area
network connection on your computer. It is recommended
to disable everything but the modems local area network at
this time.

Double click on the local area network, Then Clicking the Support tab, You will find the Connection Sta
Your connection status should look something similar to the image below.

To find this page go to 192.168.100.1 and then proceed to 192.168.100.1:1337

You should now see something similar to the below illustration. Never click Download
under Firmware Changer or you will brick your device. Your modem must be connected
to your Ethernet in order to see this page.

First we must enable the telnet console first on the modem. Do this from the 1337 page illustrated above
from the previous step and click the Change button to Enable telnet. For faster access to telnet remove
the default login and password and hit Change button again. Now you should have your telnet server
Enabled and Login & Password fields blank.

Vista Owners: Microsoft does not have telnet enabled by default. You will need to
install it yourself. To do so do the following:

1. Click Start
2. Click Control Panel
3. Select Programs
4. Select Turn Windows Features on or off
5. You May need to confirm the UAC
6. Wait...
7. Click the checkboxes beside the telnet client

For those of you who are not familiar with telnet, Please read the following steps
very carefully. To access Telnet, We need to open Command Prompt up in your
Windows Operating System. To do this, Please do the following.
Start  > Run > In the run box type cmd & Click open.

Now you should be looking at a command prompt black box similar to the illustration
pictured below. Now in the box type: telnet 192.168.100.1 and hit enter

Now you should be prompted with a Warning message stating:

TCNISO Embedded Telnet Server.

Now hit enter. Now you will be prompted with a login.

Please hit enter until you see scrolling.

Next, Type the following lines to stop the annoying frequency channel
scrolling. (Ignore the scrolling and type the command in)

cd /cm_
scan_stop

Now the scrolling should have came to a halt.

If your ISP requires BPI+ Disabled Type:

cd /n/d
bpi_version 0
write
cd /

If your ISP requires BPI Fully Disabled Type:

cd /n/d
enable bpi false
write
cd /

To reboot the modem type reset

in cd /

Note: Before you alter any BPI Settings on your modem refer to the SB5100 Tutorials
found on our forum in your specific ISP Category.

To change your config name simply see the illustration below. Everything highlighted
in yellow must
be done in order to change your config. You must set the tftp IP and config name and
hit the change
button to write the settings into memory. Config names and ip's can be found on our
forum here
Note: Not all ISP's allow you to host a config. Chances are if you have to clone a mac
on your ISP you will NOT be able to set your own config file, however sometimes you
can.
Please refer to our forum for your ISP's specific configuration settings. Highlighted in
yellow
is where you would change your tftp & config settings.

Its a good idea to spoof your firmware name reported to a NOSH image. FATSH is
generally not released
to the public, therefore it is not a good idea to keep a FATSH image as your firmware
name. Change your
Firmware name to SB5100-2.3.1.6-SCM06-NOSH or something similar.
