The Lamp - Matthew 5:14-16

 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be
hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl.
Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in
the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others,
that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father
in heaven.

The Speck and The Log - Matthew 7:1-5

 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you
judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use,
it will be measured to you. “Why do you look at the speck of
sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank
in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take
the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in
your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own
eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your
brother’s eye

The Divided Kingdom - Matthew 12:24-30

 But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, “It is only by
Beelzebul, the prince of demons, that this fellow drives out
demons.” Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, “Every
kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or
household divided against itself will not stand. If Satan drives out
Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom
stand? And if I drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your
people drive them out? So then, they will be your judges. But if it
is by the Spirit of God that I drive out demons, then the kingdom
of God has come upon you. “Or again, how can anyone enter a
strong man’s house and carry off his possessions unless he first
ties up the strong man? Then he can plunder his house.
“Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not
gather with me scatters.
New Cloth on Old Garment - Matthew 9:16-17
 “No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, for
the patch will pull away from the garment, making the tear worse.
Neither do people pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do,
the skins will burst; the wine will run out and the wineskins will be
ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins, and both are
preserved.”

The Mustard Seed - Matthew 13:31-32

 He told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a
mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though
it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest
of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and
perch in its branches.”

The Leaven - Matthew 13:33-34

 He told them still another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like
yeast that a woman took and mixed into about sixty pounds[a] of
flour until it worked all through the dough.” Jesus spoke all these
things to the crowd in parables; he did not say anything to them
without using a parable.

New Cloth on Old Garment - Mark 2:21-22

 “No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment.
Otherwise, the new piece will pull away from the old, making the
tear worse. And no one pours new wine into old wineskins.
Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and
the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new
wineskins.”

The Divided Kingdom - Mark 3:23-27

 So Jesus called them over to him and began to speak to them in
parables: “How can Satan drive out Satan? If a kingdom is
divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. If a house is
divided against itself, that house cannot stand. And if Satan
opposes himself and is divided, he cannot stand; his end has
come. In fact, no one can enter a strong man’s house without
first tying him up. Then he can plunder the strong man’s house.
The Mustard Seed - Mark 4:30-34
 Again he said, “What shall we say the kingdom of God is like, or
what parable shall we use to describe it? It is like a mustard
seed, which is the smallest of all seeds on earth. Yet when
planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants,
with such big branches that the birds can perch in its shade.”
With many similar parables Jesus spoke the word to them, as
much as they could understand. He did not say anything to them
without using a parable. But when he was alone with his own
disciples, he explained everything.

The Barren Fig Tree - Luke 13:6-9

 Then he told this parable: “A man had a fig tree growing in his
vineyard, and he went to look for fruit on it but did not find any.
So he said to the man who took care of the vineyard, ‘For three
years now I’ve been coming to look for fruit on this fig tree and
haven’t found any. Cut it down! Why should it use up the soil?’
“‘Sir,’ the man replied, ‘leave it alone for one more year, and I’ll
dig around it and fertilize it. 9 If it bears fruit next year, fine! If not,
then cut it down.’”

The Lost Coin - Luke 15:8-10

 “Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins[a] and loses one.
Doesn’t she light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully
until she finds it? And when she finds it, she calls her friends and
neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my
lost coin.’ In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the
presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

The Budding Fig Tree - Matthew 24:32-35

 “Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get
tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near.
Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it[a] is
near, right at the door. Truly I tell you, this generation will
certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass
away.
