Subject:  The problem of Poor Street Light in A.B.C Locality
Sir,
Through the columns of your esteemed paper, I would enlighten the attention of the concerned
authorities towards the problem of poor streetlights in ABC locality. Recently the district government
has installed LED streetlights in our area but due to lack of proper maintenance, many of them are not
working properly.

At night, the maximum area of this locality remains in complete darkness. The thief avails this golden
opportunity at the dead hours of night. They deprive the residents of their valuables. Street crime is on
the rise in this locality. The last night a biker has been deprived his valuables and cash. When the
residents try to follow them, taking the advantage of darkness, they manage a good escape.

In the rainy season, water stands in the street. At night when the passersby are trying to cross the
street, they slip and fall into the dirty water due to poor street light problem

I request the higher authorities to pay their kind attention to this problem. I offer some suggestions in
this regard.

a) The department should replace the broken and out of order LED Lights.

b) They should check it time to time, if they face any problem, they should remove it at once.

c) The area watch man should be given instructions to look after these streetlights. He should on and off
the lights at a proper time.

d) Being good citizens, it is also our duty to pay attention to this problem and we should n0ot harm the
public property.
