Sillaby of Public Health Nutrition Class

I. Course Description: This course introduces students to current and emerging


issues in public health nutrition. The course consists of readings, lecture, class
discussion and classroom presentations.
II. Course Objective after completing the course students will be able to:
1) identify and utilize sources of information on the nutritional status of
Indonesian populations.
2) analyze new information in the field of public health nutrition and nutritional
epidemiology.
3) describe current issues related to global food systems and nutrition.
4) identify and discuss the role and impact of different policy documents, support
systems, international agreements, and regulations of importance for public
health nutrition activities on a national and international level.
III. Grading Policies Class participation: 30%, Written Assignments: 40%, Oral
Presentation: 30%
