About Mother Teresa
- Her family were a devout Catholic family
- Mother Teresa father died when she was only 8 years old.
- She lived with her mother and became very close to her.
- Her mother was the one who introduced her a deep commitment to
charity.
- When Mother Teresa was 18 she became a Roman Catholic Nun. (Sister
Teresa)
- In 1929 Mother Teresa moved to Calcutta and become teacher.
About Mother Teresa

- After moving to Calcutta Mother Teresa was known as Saint Teresa of Calcutta.
- She commit her life to taking care for the sick, the poor and the helpless
people.
- In 1971, Mother Teresa moved to New York and open a house of charity
- In 1982, she crossed between Christian East Beirut and Muslim West Beirut to
aid children of both faiths.
- In 1985, opened Gift of Love, a home to care for those infected with HIV/AIDS.

- Known as “the mother of civil rights movement”
- Rosa Parks was famous for being brave and stand for civil rights.
- She is well known from the bus situation when she did not give her seat
to a white man and then was arrested. (1955)
- Her motivation came from the struggles for racial equality.
- In 1932 she was married and joined the Montgomery National Association
for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).
