Configuration Manual

Turing Body Temperature Thermal Scanner


(TVTS-OP-BTTS7)

Preparation:

1. One residential wireless network router (does not need to be connected to the internet).
One example router selection is ​TP-Link N300 Wireless WiFi Router​.
2. One Windows based PC/laptop
3. Software needed to be downloaded or sent out by Turing team:
a. Windows configuration tool
b. New firmware version

Firmware Login:

The scanner and Windows PC need to be connected through a router which provides a
local network connection.
1. Connect the scanner to the network router ​directly​ via RJ45 ethernet port. ( If you chose
our AI Mini-box package, please make sure the minibox is disconnected from the
scanner to use our configure tool.)
2. Connect the Windows PC to the router via WiFi or Ethernet cable. The PC needs to be in
the same network with the scanner. This can be verified by checking if the IP address of
the PC is in the same domain with the scanner.
3. Launch the Windows configuration tool from your laptop, click the Search button in red
box

Login interface

● Click ‘Search’ button to refresh the equipment list on the top section
● Select the corresponding scanner by verifying the IP address from the scanner
screen
● Click the ‘Login’ button using the default login credentials
Firmware Upgrade

1. Verify that the the firmware version is up to date by checking:


● Firmware version
● Firmware compilation date

2. If the firmware is not up to date, please upgrade the firmware from ‘System setting’
(Please contact Turing team for newest version)
● Click the ‘Browse’ button to select the firmware file.
● Click Upgrade.
● Click ‘OK’ on any pop-out notification window.
● Please ​DO NOT​ unplug the power or ethernet cable of the scanner before
upgrade status reaches 100% and show ‘Success’.

Firmware upgrade interface

Important Note!
● The scanner screen will turn black for while it is installing the new firmware, and
then the system will automatically reboot with the screen back on. This process
will take ​AT LEAST 5 minutes.​ Please ​DO NOT​ unplug the power during this
process or it will cause the scanner malfunction!

Audio Setting

In the ‘System setting’ - ‘Built-in audio’ section, the volume of the audio alarm can be adjusted.
After it is adjusted, please click “Apply”.

● The scanner mode can be switched between indoor and outdoor.


Two modes are programmed differently to handle different ambient conditions.
● Temperature unit can be switched between Fahrenheit and Centigrade.
● Abnormal temperature threshold can be adjusted.
A default alarming temperature of 37.6 ​°C (99.7 ​ºF) is set.
● For manual calibration, please use an accurate handheld thermometer as the
reference.

Please note that in our current sensor system, all above temperature adjustments are in the unit of
Celsius ​°C. P
​ lease convert all adjustments in ​°C​ accordingly.

Display temperature + (Temperature correction in °C) = Desired temperature

Example:
If the scanner is reading at 98.6 ​ºF (37.0 ​°C)​, the accurate reference thermometer is reading at
97.7 ºF (36.5 ​°C)​, then the temperature correction value will be: - 0.50

After the parameters are adjusted, please click “Apply”.
