Applications
Safesiphon is designed to provide lubrication and cooling
for dual mechanical seals in wide range of industries.
Creating the correct working environment can significantly
improve seal life savings by reducing maintenance and
replacement costs. The natural convection (thermosiphon)
effect ensures the mechanical seal is kept cool and
lubricated. Installation is fast and easy to do on-site.

Design
Manufactured to the highest standards by coded welders,
with pressure rating according to the PED directive.
Advanced forming techniques used to produce the vessel
shell ensure repeated accuracy with exceptional surface
finish. Sealant connections optimized for use with pumping
seal.
Installation
Safesiphon 10 is to provide to dual seals on light to medium
duties. With back to back seals it is necessary to pressurize
the vessel a minimum of 15 psig/1 barg above the process
pressure acting on inner seal. The pressure is applied using
a regulated nitrogen or air supply. With tandem seals the
system is normally operated at atmospheric pressure by
fitting a vent line from the top of the vessel to a safe area.
The vessel has to be mounted vertically with its base
19.6"/500 mm min above the seal chamber center line. To
promote effective Safesiphon 10, please use pipe at least
0.4"/12 mm bore or hoses 0.375”/9.5 mm inner diameter and
avoid sharp bends and horizontal runs as they will inhibit
circulation.
