Concept
The Membrane Sample valve are used for sampling under sterile
conditions for physics-chemical or microbiological analysis.
Working principle
When the valve is closed, the channel between the valve ports is
open for sterilization. When the valve is activated, the membrane is
retracted allowing liquid to pass.
Standard design
The valve consists of a valve body, an actuator and a membrane seal.
The rubber membrane seal is placed on the stem of the actuator and
works as a stretchable plug. The valve has a sanitary design, the valve
body is manufactured from a solid piece to avoid any welding cracks.
The valve is available in three different mounting designs:
• Type T for tank connection
• Type P for pipe connection
• Type S for threaded connection
The valve is available in three different actuator designs:
Manual - For manual activation
Manual + Micro port - For manual activation or sampling by a
hypodermic needle penetrating the membrane.
Manual + Pneumatic - For manual or pneumatic activation. This
.variation can be delivered with pipe outlet connections. Used when
the valve is to be connected to pipes for automatic sampling.
