4. STEM Education Assessment

4.1 Overall assessment of the school – strength and weaknesses, analysis

Organize meeting(s) with all staff in the schools, and identify strengthens, and areas of
concerns/weaknesses that needs to be addressed in order to improve quality of the SETM teaching and
learning in the school.

 Availability of dedicated laboratories for science and computer subjects

Weaknesses
 Students do not participate in events which would enhance their skills in scientific explorations
 School-club missing – (required to promote science and computer related skills and to strengthen
understanding of scientific ideas learned from theory)
 Non-availability of laboratory staff for practical due to their engagement in other activities of the school.
 School has no authority to make change in BISE assessment practices
