Rabbit owners encounter certain dilemmas when it comes to the care of their
rabbits. "Travel and military deployments are just some the reasons owners
seek boarding solutions for their rabbits," says Sharon Ceskowski, founder of
Velvet Noses Rabbit Rescue. "Traditional pet boarding facilities and kennels
can be a loud, stressful environment for these quiet, gentle creatures."
Additionally, rabbits do not fare well in confined cages, with no room to run
and explore. Furthermore, rabbits are social and prefer company of other
rabbits.
Some of the VNRR facility highlights are its sustainable practices such as an
organic vegetable garden, with abundant amounts of kale and other greens,
and the cultivation of its own hay, which VNRR feeds year-round to its
residents and guests.
The Bunny Bed and Breakfast accommodations start at $7/night with long-
term packages starting at $180/month. All accommodations can be reserved
through their online booking system or via telephone.
