O level Physics 5054 Past Paper checklist

Going through the past 5 years of exam papers is a must. There are a total of 60 papers which
you will have to practice. You will practice both variant 1 and variant 2 of every year. Use this
checklist to keep track.

Make sure you go through the mark scheme. You should be asking questions in class based on
the questions you find difficult. It is important to link the question to the concept. Don’t try to
rote learn the answers. Instead identify different question types and learn how to answer
them. For example in Physics numerical questions have to be answered by showing the entire
working properly. Graphs require proper labeling and plotting. State and explain questions
require you to present reasoning. Describe questions require details.

Don’t just read through all the papers. You will fall prey to confirmation bias. Instead make
sure to attempt the paper yourself. Otherwise you will not be able to reproduce any of your
learning during the entire exam. Time yourself when you attempt the exam. You can divide a
paper into smaller sections to make it easier to manage.
