1. Name five aspects that you consider the most important contributions

It influenced our approach to the treatment of mental health issues

and continues to exert an influence in psychology to this day.
the methods and theories of psychoanalytic thought contributed to
the development of experimental psychology. Although for the most
part psychodynamic theories did not rely much on experimental
research.
Psychoanalysis opened a new perspective on mental illness,
suggesting that one way to alleviate the psychological disorder was
through dialogue with a professional, recounting the problems he
suffered.
There was much contribution regarding the theories of personality
developed by psychodynamic thinkers, which are still used today, a
clear example is Erikson's theory on psychosocial stages.
Sigmund Freud in his classic "social" work, Psychology of the
masses and analysis of the self tells us with good reason that all
psychology is a social psychology. With this, psychoanalysis admits
and recognizes the incontrovertible fact that we are social beings.

2. Explain ¿what is the future of psychoanalisys?

Psychoanalysis might not be the force it was back in 1910, but Freud's
theories have had a lasting influence on both popular culture and
psychology.

Psychoanalysis could continue to insist on research with evidence-based

treatments, improving data collection methods, as well as maintaining the
theories that Freud implemented. Today the area of psychoanalytic therapy
is covered, as well as major treatment approaches such as talk therapy,
which is applied in a range that includes other treatment approaches such
as client-centered and group therapy.
