Position: JUNIOR MINE ENGINEER (JME – LB)
Work Location: Bahodopi

Purpose of the Role:


To produce planning, production scheduling, high quality design, project development and monitoring
the progress in order to support the overall success of meeting the department objectives.

Accountabilities:
1. Promote the compliance of PTVI business ethics conduct through communication and interaction
and day to day basis.
2. Ensure compliance to environmental, safety procedures, standards and policies.
3. Prepare and develop reliable pit design using Vulcan and do field inspections, design the mining
hill using all data geology such: block model, ore zone, ore type, grade distribution, stripping ratio,
etc.
4. Prepare and develop Main Haul Road design refers to PTVI Main Haul Road Standard.
5. Prepare and develop disposal design using Vulcan/SURPAC, do disposal inspections, and shows
the development stages and calculate the design capacity. Prepare disposal map shows
dyke/finger development, contour topography, disposal crest and toe, drainage plan, and mine out
boundary. Develop cost estimated for any development works such dyke construction.
6. Update annual plan quarterly, recording actual performance, next month plan from Short Term
Planning, remaining reserves and projecting the plan to the end of the year. Update and extend
the 18-month plan using the same processes as used for the Yearly budget plan.
7. Develop mining schedule, description mining sequence each bench and calculate the pit reserve.
Determine any critical success issues required to mine the hill each bench.
8. Determine all mine development capital required for budget plan, produce Mine Development
Capital Design such as road, dyke and pond and Support Mine Engineer to develop business
case for mine development capital.
9. Produce Yearly Mine plan report includes: Executive summary, yearly reserves, monthly
schedule, equipment model calculation, graphic/chart etc.
10. Produce Master plan package report.
11. Develops project plans, Coordinates projects, Communicates changes and progress, Completes
projects on time and budget; Manage an effective filing system for all mine engineering
documentation and mine engineering data. All information and data processed shall be clearly
recorded and managed, such that it can be retrieved and utilized.
12. Coordinate and maintain communication and relationship with all organization participating in
mine engineering including all PTVI department, division providing services and assistant to mine
engineering and external parties including but not limited to the government, community and
contractor.

Requirement:
1. Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Mine Engineering with minimum GPA is 3.00 (scale 4)
2. Preferably having minimum 1 years of experience as mine planning engineer
3. Knowledgeable in operating mine design and scheduling software (Vulcan, Surpac, MineSched)
4. Good communication & presentation skills in English (written and oral). Good in English (written
and oral).
