And finally, conclusion and summary.
-Here we invite you to continue my group’s presentation. Thank you for
listening.
LY:-Hello everyone, my name is Ly and I’m from group 7. I will present
part 1.
-From my point of view, how to learn English listening effectively, you
should find a suitable level. You should listent to short conversations.
-One of the best ways to learn English listening to watch a movie and
listen to music. Please watch and listen to whatever you love.
1.How to watch English movies effectively ?
-An effective way to do this is to watch a movie with subtitles. The first
step is to read the script looking up the words you don’t know and
working out what the sentences again. Then you can watch a movie
with subtitles. Then a few weeks later watch it again.
-You can choose from many movies in different topic like: romantic,
adventure, horror, action... Here are some example movies: HARRY
POTTER, EXTRA, FRIENDS, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, MOM, THE
BIGBANG THEORY...
-I would like to share one way to watch a movie. Please watch the video
on the screen...
-At first, you should watch a movie with Vietnamese English subtitles.
After that, you should completely remove the Vietnamese subtitles. If
you don’s know the meaning of the vocabulary, please write it in the
flashcard to check the meaning later. After a while of practice, you can
watch English movies without subtitles.
2.How to listen to English music effectively ?
-Here are the pictures of some famous singers and bands. Now, you can
see on the screen.
-As you can see, when listen to music there will be melodies that will
interest you.
 Watching English movies and listening to music continuosly,
regularly will help you to have reflexive skills when listening English.
 While you listening to a recording, you silently read the same text.
This activity uses one skill (reading) to support the one (listening).
Learners prefer listening while reading over listening by itself and tend
to again higher vocabulary leaning scores and comprehension related
scores when reading while listening. Thank you for hearing my
presentation.
3. Share our experiences:
NGHI:-Hello everybody, my name is Nghi. I’m from group 7. I would
like to share our experiences about learning English listening.

and learn about American way of life...
-Each episodes prolong from 25-30 minutes so every free night, you can

-Each movie has many season. Therefore, you can comfortably watch
the movie...
-I often watch the movies at the website: studyphim.vn. You can access
by Google of Facebook account to watch a movie. But after watching
some movies for free, you will have to pay fees...
-Next is my favorite website: englishclub.com. I don’t need to register
for an account to still be able to study. You access to the website,
search for the listening part. There is a wide variety of listening lessons
on topic with 3 levels. Each lesson will have listen at normal speed, slow

skills with many topics. Not only learn English but I also learn more
languages like: Chinese, French, Japanese, Korean...
- I also share listening book: Basic Tactics for listening
- In addition, I’m a big fan of English speakers like: Khanh Vy, Thao Tam,
Thien Khiem...
 Recently, I shared about how to learn Emglish listening . I think the
most important thing is to try the best everyday. Thank you guys for
listening.
LINH:- Hello guys, I’m linh, a member of group 7. Well, we have told
you How can you learn a language through listening. Now, we will move
on to How can you learn a language through reading.
-Firstly, from my point of view, read texts which are at the right level
for you. This is because in English there are many book, called Graded
readers, which are books especially written for foreign language
learners.
+ For example, Oxford University Press has the Oxford Bookworms...
+ The Oxford Bookworms series has the following level: ( bảng trong
sách)
So a learner who knows only 400 words can read several books at
level 1 of the series.
+ Graded learners series end at around 3000 words . If you know more
words than, you should read the Mid-frequency readers which are
written at the 4000, 6000 and 8000 word levels. They are free and can
be found at Paul Nation’s web site
http://www.victoria.ac.nz/lals/staff/paul-nation.aspx
+ For more information on graded readers visit the Extensive Reading
Foundation web site...
-Secondly, accompany reading with deliberate learning from word
cards or flash card programs.
- Thirdly, you can read electronic texts using a program that has easy
dictionary look up. You can look up the meaning of a word just by
touching it.
+For example: Kindle or Kobo...
-Finally, make sure you do plenty of reading. The higher your level of
proficiency, the more you will need to read in order to meet words at
the right level for you enough times to have a chance to learn them.
- Compare Extensive Reading and Narrow Reading... Thank you for
hearing.
HUỆ: Hello everyone, my name is Hue, the last member of group 7.
- I have a question for you: When you have read a long text, is it better
to re-read the same book or read a different one? You will think and
raise your hand to answer. Anyone who answers correctly will have a
gift...
- As you can see on the screen, each reading will have different
benefits.
 These lists suggest that re-reading is a good idea, and that it would
be good to have a mixture of re-reading and different reading in a
language learning program.
- About reading English effectively, I want to share some of my
learning methods:
+You must improve a good English vocabulary. When I see new words, I
often use highlighter to bold and write them on flashcard  I think you
should have a flashcard so as to learn by heart new words.
+ I practice reading comprehension from a short paragraph and then
into an essay. I choose to skimming the content, read the question and
find the answer.
+ I often use a TFLAT Dictionary or Oxford Dictionary.
Above is today’s lesson content. My group’s presentation here is the
end. Thank you for hearing.
