Paper 1 practice task

Born in Spain, in the surroundings of one of the biggest metropolis in Europe, my life
wasn’t hard at all, I studied, eat, swam, and sleep, it wasn’t more than that, I didn’t cared
how I looked, where I go, where I lived, which phone I had, how the rest looked at me,
where I study, what I plan to study in university, no, that was something unimaginable, but
here I am, ten years later, thinking about that, but what happened to me to pass from that
point where I didn’t cared about anything to the point where all the things that I
mentioned before are daily concerns, well, the first thing is Colombia, both countries are
completely opposite in a lot of ways, (in case you didn’t knew, I moved to Colombia when I
was like 7 years old) going from how roads are, to how people behave, so that change
changed me, I was different, so when I first came I thought that Colombia would be a Spain
but in the other side of the world, but when I came everything wasn’t as I expected. Now
that I am here, 10 years after moving out from Spain, the world is different for me, I
understand it from other point of view, and not only the world, me, and the people around
me. The real question here is where do I see myself in 30 or 40 years? Well it’s difficult to
know where I’m going to live, where I am going to work, what I´m going to do at that time,
but I hope to be a successful lawyer, with a family, being able to take my parents each year
to vacations, having a decent car, and being happy, I expect to have an apartment or a
house in Spain, also being able to travel at least one time each 2 years or so. But we could
never know what life has for us, what could happen in the next years, if I get accepted in
the university I want, if I get to be with important people for my life, if an accident occurs,
of someone close dies very soon, we really could never know where are we going to be in
30 or 40 years, so it is only a simple thought, because life is unpredictable, and how I end
in life doesn’t depends only on me, external things affect, such as it would be relations,
which form me as a human. So it’s all a mystery, we can never know what would be from
us in life, it is purely chance were we will end. I hope that this reading was comfortable
and good for you, and simply be happy and live on the present.
