Processing Spoken Information
Instructions to Students
1. You will have 10 minutes to read the paper. You must not write in your question booklets during this reading
time but you may make notes on the scribbling paper provided.
2. This paper is printed in two question booklets:
Processing Spoken Information (Questions 1 to 6)
Answer all questions in Processing Spoken Information in the spaces provided in Question Booklet 1.
You may begin writing your answers for the Written Paper any time after the third playing of Passage 6.
You may return to Processing Spoken Information at any stage of the examination.
Written Paper (Questions 7 to 15)
The Written Paper consists of two sections:
Processing Written Information (Questions 7 to 11)
Writing in Italian (Questions 12 to 15)
Answer six questions. Answer all questions from Processing Written Information and one question from
Writing in Italian in the spaces provided in Question Booklet 2.
3. The allocation of marks and suggested allotment of time are as follows:
Processing Spoken Information 20 marks approx. 1 hour
Written Paper 1½ hours
Processing Written Information 35 marks
Writing in Italian 20 marks
4. Attach your SACE registration number label to the box at the top of this page. Copy the information from your
SACE registration number label into the boxes on the front cover of Question Booklet 2.
5. At the end of the examination, place Question Booklet 2 inside the back cover of this question booklet.

E ora abbiamo un annuncio importantissimo per tutti gli appassionati di musica. Il primo maggio
celebriamo la Festa dei Lavoratori allo Stadio Olimpico di Roma. Non perdetevi questo concerto di
musica pop il primo maggio alle diciannove e trenta. Artisti come Ramazzotti e Ligabue canteranno
tutte le loro canzoni famose. Attenzione fans di musica pop, i biglietti saranno in vendita
prossimamente a soli trentacinque Euro per una serata piena di musica. Voi ascoltatori avete la
possibilità di vincere due biglietti se ci mandate un SMS con il vostro nome. Allora, alla stazione radio
Capital mandate un SMS presto! 199 100 808.
Passage 2
Cameriere:
Buonasera e benvenuti al nostro ristorante. Vi spiego il menù turistico: ricevete tre portate per soli
dodici Euro.
Stasera abbiamo un buonissimo primo piatto — zuppa di verdura con carote, funghi, asparagi,
zucchine e pomodori freschi.
Per secondo poi serviamo bistecca al pepe. La bistecca al pepe è tenera e saporita.
Per contorno c’è l’insalata mista che è un contorno leggero. L’insalata mista è molto fresca e gustosa.
Incluso nel prezzo c’è anche un dolce squisito — potete scegliere tra torta al cioccolato oppure torta di
mela. Il dolce è servito con la panna fresca.

Viaggiatore: Buongiorno.
Impiegata: Buongiorno. Dica.
Viaggiatore: Vado a Firenze. C’è un treno rapido domani?
