“Are the Global North and the Global South dependent on one another?

"

In many ways, people would say that the Global North and Global South are

dependent with one another. However, it is high time that we throw away this elitist and

white savior notion and realize that the Global South has its own metrics for innovation

and advancement. This is seen in the caricature, where the two are not tied to one

another and are drawn differently. Developing countries have their own standards due

to the poverty they experience. They may reach the “developed” stage at a much slower

rate, but they do not have to rely on the Global North. They are equipped to adapt at

their own pace using their cultures.
