ASSESSMENT #2

1.It was said that one's moral beliefs can be guided by God's preferences and
commands. I believe that as long as you believe in God, everything will follow.
As I said about the Euthyphro dilemma in the pre-discussion, God commands
because He knows that it is moral. We believe that it is moral because we
believe in Him. If we believe in God, we follow Him to see those true, good,
and beautiful things in life. As the discussion talked about that God is the basis
of morality because that is His role in our life. If we believe that it is His role in
our life, we can live a moral life in accordance to His command. We can live in
happiness because we know if we follow Him, it is moral and we can live in
eternal peace.

2.Universal moral standards have six values that embedded in the human
nature and the world. First, trustworthiness, some people might struggle with
trust issues because they might be betrayed, however trust can always be built
with honesty. Second, respect, some people only respect adults or rich people
but this universal moral standards can prove that everyone in the world should
be respected as a human. Third, responsibility, it is our duty to fill the spaces of
our life and to live a life in fullness but in control. Fourth, fairness, every person
has a unique capability of showing herself/himself, but we must not forget that
we are all humans. Fifth, caring, when we love one person, we care about
her/him, if we all love each other, care would be built. Lastly, citizenship, we
live in this world as human person and we have the right to live. These values
are innate to us humans.
