Charlie and Marlith meet again on the weekend in the Plaza de Armas
in Huaraz at 4 o’clock in the afternoon. Charlie, who is quite talkative,
asks Marlith about her. She tells him that she lives in Poland in the city
of Warsaw with her family. She tells him that she is 27 years old and
that she is single and is the oldest of all. She also tells him that she has
two brothers and one sister whose names are: Janica, Jarek and
Nikolai. Marlith tells him that Janica is 25 years old and that she

mechanics, and Nikolai, the youngest of all, is still in high school and

She also tells him that she studied nursing in Warsaw for three years.
And, that one day she decided to travel to Peru to help in the hospital
due to the problem of the pandemic that Peru is suffering. Charlie also
asked her how she ended up in Huaraz since she could have gone
anywhere and not necessarily to Huaraz. Marlith told him that her
parents, whose names are Adam and Morelia and are farmers,
suggested the place because they had come to Huaraz earlier in 2018
and that they had some friends in the city. Marlith also told him that she
is staying in the house of one of her parents' friends.

Marlith said:
“My grandfather Friedrich fought in the Second World War.
He was 18 when he entered the military. He is German, and
helped in the infirmary and is now 90 years old. He met my
grandmother Alenka in the war too. My grandmother was 20
years old when they both met, she is from Germany too.”

“After the war (she continued) they went to live in Poland

where they got married and had two children, Adam, my dad
and Aloysa my aunt.”

“My dad, Adam, met my mom Morelia in Warsaw in 1980

and they got married. They had four children, my two
brothers, my sister and me”.
“On the other hand, my aunt Aloysa met my uncle Bernard,
they got married and have a son named Oliver. My uncle is
French.”

Charlie listened very carefully to the story that Marlith was

telling him, he interrupted her saying:
"They say that in those days, life was
very difficult and hard for everyone,
especially for those who lived in
Europe"

Marlith said, "These days too, with the pandemic, the

economic crisis will worsen and everything will be very
difficult.”
