Watch the video posted above. Why Dunkin Donuts Failed in India? Explain.

Explain which type of error is this- Error of commission or Error of omission – and why?

With over 12000 outlets in 46 countries Dunkin has established itself as one of the most
popular doughnut serving brands worldwide. But despite its vast popularity, Dunkin failed
terribly in the Indian market.

This error is called mission error because, Dunkin essentially stated out as a breakfast outlet,
providing its customers with a sweet snake to being their day. But when Dunkin came into
India it realized India’s breakfast preference weren’t really synonymous with what they were
offering.

Most of the Indians would not like to start their day with something sweet such as a
doughnut, and also, they tend to have their breakfast indoors. Also they millennial generation
that may happen to their breakfast outside prefer healthy food joints such as subway and
others rather than a sweet brand like Dunkin.
