- Reading is made up of two, component decoding and language comprehension. And to
be strong in them you have to have deep knowledge and understand the words you
reading.
-When analyzing reading problems, the first thing to answer is yes, the problems is a
poor decoding, poor understanding of the language or if the student has weaknesses in
both areas. When identifying the problem, teachers must approach it in different ways
and with different interventions.
-If we identify what kinds of problems students are heaving, we can help them
specifically. Thus, each student can be taught and evaluated separately.

After reading -Reflect on how text matched or did not match predictions.
-Compare characters, incidents, content (nonfiction) to self, real
life, and other books.
-Summarize major idea.
-May seek additional information.
