Name of Best Practice: EARN (Encourage Awareness on Reading Now)

Rationale: The present situation of the world affects the education sector. The present of the
COVID-19 pandemic has brought extra-ordinary challenges that affect everyones life. And no one knows
when wills this global pandemic ends. In the field of education everybody is affected including our
youngest learner. Educators find ways to deliver quality education to our learners. The new normal should
be taken into consideration. So the education sector find ways to access education to every learners. And
to ensure quality and flexible learning process Palaypalay Elementary School come up with some Best
Practices to support the School Continuity Plan (SLCP). These Best Practices were structured and
organized by the school teaching staff to support the 314 learners enrolled for School Year 2020-2021.
The implementation of the Best Practices brings a lot of good result. Objectives of the
projects implemented were obtained. Open and good communication to each member of the school and
community in the delivery of the choosen modality which is the Modular Distance Learning is a great
evidence that objectives of the Best Practices conducted by the faculty members shows a great impact in
the attainment of quality education of our learners.

Project Objective Statement: boost/urge learners in different grade level develop their love for reading
during this time of pandemic. Use different reading materials available in their home and ask help from
family members to attain reading with comprehension.
