RPA ROBOTS
AIDING THE WORLD
DURING GLOBAL
CRISIS LIKE COVID-19
Robotic Process Automation is the technology that allows
anyone today to configure computer software, namely a “bot”
to emulate and integrate the actions of a human interacting
within digital systems to execute a business process. RPA bots
utilize the user interface to capture data and manipulate
applications just like humans do. They interpret, trigger
responses and communicate with other systems in order to
perform on a vast variety of repetitive tasks. Only substantially
better: the best thing about these bots is that they are not
even affected / infected by Pandemics like Covid-19, they
never sleep, never get tired and make zero mistakes. JECRC
University too has a fantastic ecosystem of RPA and has
recently announced its very own Botathon – a bot
development competition – which shall result in live bots
working in the University campus in its various departments.
JECRC University has collaborated with Automation Anywhere,
which is the world's leading Robotics Process Automation
Company and was ranked 29th in Forbes 100.
FEATURED
Under the aegis of this collaboration, a Bot Lab has been ARTICLE
established at JECRC University which is the first Bot Lab in
the state of Rajasthan. There are a total of 47 Bot Labs in India Co-living spaces
and overall 70 across the globe.

Three Day long Train-the-Trainer Workshop was
organized at JECRC University in which expert from
Automation Anywhere came and trained a group of 30
members (18 faculty and 12 students). Over and above,
two faculty members attended the Course for Certified
RPA Trainer at Automation Anywhere Bangalore office.
Student ambassadors (A-listers) have been identified at
JECRC University by Automation Anywhere, who have
been oriented at their Bangalore office for 5 days and
who shall now act as a bridge between the University and
the Company. In order to build a strong RPA ecosystem,
with the help of the RPA trained faculty members, RPA
Week was at organized the University. During this RPA
Week, 530 students of the institution have been
thoroughly trained and also certified with Automation
Anywhere Essentials Robotics Process Automation
Certificate. As a part of this certification, each student
was tested online and was also required to submit a Bot
created for a real Use Case given on the spot by
Automation Anywhere.

subject and have successfully
completed their credits.
As. In the same direction, JECRC University has
also partnered with UiPath. UiPath which is a global
software company that provides a platform for
Robotic Process Automation, was established in
2005 and has its headquarters at New York, United
States. UiPath has become the first vendor of the
scale to bring together both process mining and
Robotic Process Automation. UiPath conducted
Educator Workshop through its experts, where 10
faculty members of the institution were given
hands on training and have been certified. Student
ambassador has been identified by UiPath at the
University, in order to promote RPA in the campus
and organize events on behalf of the company. As
an important measure, UiPath's Robotics Process
Automation Design and Development course was
offered as an elective subject to the students of
fifth semester (2019-20) of the University. More
than 250 students opted this subject and have
successfully completed their credits.

ACCELERATING THE NEW NORMAL

In world history, 2020 has officially marked its place for being the most devastating year so far with the
introduction of life-threatening Coronavirus disease. It is a global pandemic with no part of the world left
unharmed. As corona prowls outside in its cloak ready to pounce on its new prey, we all sit in our homes
helpless, vulnerable, and anxious waiting for its next move. Covid19 has altered the world upside down in ways
one can't imagine. Harnessed by fear of increased infection rate of this highly contagious disease, all world
countries have imposed a heavy lockdown in their respective territory. As a result human life has changed
completely. The normal running life wheel is not stalled in one place. The world economy has slowed down,
lifestyle has changed, Shops are closed, factories are shut down, businesses have collapsed, people are
rendered homeless, foodless, hopeless and the list doesn't end anywhere and there is no point in talking
about the number of lives it has consumed.To cope up with its drastic effects and to sustain life people turned
to technological help.
Numerous technology laborers and organizations are likewise joining efforts to lighten the COVID-19
emergency in different manners. Innovation fueled by Artificial Intelligence (AI) is helping track the outbreak,
clean hospitals, deliver supplies, and develop vaccines. The country’s working population started working
from home using their gadgets, School started teaching online through live classes and assignments. Many
prominent online teaching apps have made their content free for students in need. Social media apps like
WhatsApp, Instagram with various features like video conferencing is helping people connect with their
family friends and relatives. They are also helping in delivering the right information and spreading awareness
about social distancing and good hygiene habits. Delivery drones are introduced as a new way of delivering
necessities. Technology and others have assembled drones and robots to transport medical supplies within
hospitals and clinics as well as to individuals restricted to their homes. delivery drones and robots can deal
with high volumes of work and are reliable. As it's said with every disaster comes the valor to fight it, no
matter how many threats Covid19 imposes on mankind, we'll all come victorious. Amidst all the stringent
lockdown laws where corona has made us all prisoners in our own home, we are liberated by increasing
technological developments which has not only improved our lives but given us hope. 15

In the wake of international pandemic of COVID-19, the entire
humanity is all the face of a threat which challenges the very
existence of man. Man assumed since the past few centuries to be
the master of one’s own fate and enlogised the Humanism and
sang applauds for self and its type. This situation today acted as a
reminder to us that we are just a very minuscule percentage of the
(Great chain of being). Despite of that limitation we hold a very
crucial position in it, where in Human has both the prospect of
movement- i.e., if it strives perfection, it could challenge a
nearness to angles i.e., an upward movement as well as a
downward using its gift of the brain decline to as far as the
minerals of the earth’s crust .e., downward movement.
What is worth even more is the gift of the most
complex and developed brain that god has given
in our share. The alchemy humans promised to
turn even the based in the chain i.e., minerals
into something of great value like lead into silver
and gold. So can we change and so have we
changed this trying situation too into a great
plethora of prospects for the human brain to
show case the efflorescence of its genius, for the
noble cause of saving its fellow beings from
perishing at the hands of this monster

India has launched an app that will tell users, if the
users came in contact with someone who later tested
positive for COVID-19 through the “Aarogya Setu”
app.        
JECRC University has delivered 200 face shields
made by JU MakersSpace club for frontline doctors to
SMS hospital, JAIPUR.        
Robot nurses and AI diagnosis are being used to
deliver food, medicine and many other supplies to the
novel corona virus patients.·        
Drone based delivery of medical supplies made
it possible to deliver medicine, blood supplies reach
vulnerable groups, without human participation.       
The novel corona virus is being diagnosed by AI,
which can read thousands of CT scans in just 20 sec
and 94% accuracy rate.         
Smart phones are playing a crucial role in
minimizing exposure to people including the use of
mobile network data for human mobility and contact
tracing during quarantine through “IGIS geo-
Locator” app.        
Work from home policies, using online meeting
software and ensure employees to continue their
work from home as usual.        
Educators and fitness are conducting online classes
and ensures students and peoples to stay at home
and continue their school, colleges and business as
usual through zoom app, Google meet etc.         
Video conferencing is leading millions of people to
connect with their families in this lockdown period.
Even our PM Narendra Modi also uses this video
conferencing policy to run the government and take
major decision via connecting to each CM’s of the
states.
Thus, I believe that no matter what, we will come
out of it better, smarter, more thoughtful, more
reflective and more inclusive in terms of our
environment and other forms of creation. I hope
that this Novel Corona Virus phase will help us to
re-introspect into our flaws and mistakes and we
would sure come out 17

DETECTING FAKE MESSAGES USING DEEP

LEARNING
With the current pandemic raging across the globe, the physical as well as mental situation of healthcare and other
essential workers is deteriorating significantly. Even during such hard times, nefarious elements in the society
continue to wreak havoc by spreading fake news and cyber hate, often targeted at essential workers. Fortunately
enough, Deep Learning and Natural language processing has enabled us to analyse, study and to some extent,
detect such fake messages and online hate.
First step of detecting a fake message is to get the data which is not biased and has as minimum amount of noise as
possible. Another point to keep in mind is the presence of about equal amounts of target values. Not having that
will result in the trained model being more biased to one result than the other. Second step is to clean the given
data by removing unnecessary objects such as hyperlinks, email addresses, hashtags, mention marks, emoticons,
etc. Following that, stopwords are removed from the text and it is converted into lowercase text. Finally, a natural
language processing model is used to encode the text onto tokens (which eases the task of machine learning) and
then the model is trained on the given data and target to predict if a given text sample is fake or not. Usually a
model trained and built from scratch is less likely to generalise on a bigger dataset. For significantly better results,
a pre-trained model is fine-tuned (re-trained on the dataset) to get better results. This technique is called “Fine
Tuning” and is used heavily when existing models (trained on similar data) are available. Some of the popular pre-
trained models for NLP include; BERT (Bidirectional Encoder Representation from Transformers), Open AI’s GPT-2
and RoBERTa. Above listed models have been trained on a significantly large amount of data (also in multiple
languages). Fake messages cause significant damage to big tech-giants and organisations. Above stated way is just
a baseline and can be expanded to do more sophisticated classifications. 18
