For me this song is about those years following the break up of a relationship that
really, and truly changed you - you knew the person inside out, and feel an immense
hole in your chest whenever you think of them. I'm not entirely convinced with the
genuineness of the line "I wish nothing but the best for you too", it seems to be sung
with such unnerving bitterness and heartache, and that would link to turning up,
uninvited to let them know that you still love them, and that for you, it really isn't
over.

In my opinion, this song comes from a vulnerable place; right at that moment when
you find out that your ex has moved on, and you haven't. You begin to question why
they have moved on, and why you are unable to, and get the real and painful feeling
that actually you still love them.

It's beautiful, unnerving and bitter. Like break ups are.
