Theme: Discover the Business Leader In You

What’s Season 8 All About?

OTW Season 8 will provide students to think like a business leader and propose disruptive business
ideas to the organization. Through this challenge, students will get an opportunity to unlock & explore
new engines of growth for Marico by focusing on three key pivots: innovation, scaling up and
diversification in any one of the categories that we play in:

o Hair Care
o Skin Care
o Foods
o Male Grooming
o Health & Hygiene

Over The Wall Rounds:

Round 1: Top 3 Teams from each campus will present their solutions to the Marico Panel. One Team
from each campus may be declared as campus winner.

Round 2: Top Teams across campuses will present to the Marico CXO Panel. Among them, top 3 teams
will be declared as winners of the Corporate Round. One Team may have an opportunity to receive
seed funding to execute their business plan basis relevance of idea and feasibility of implementation

Round 3: Top 3 Teams get to work on a socially relevant project or a project in the innovation sector.
All three teams will present their ideas to the Marico Panel comprising of our Founder and Chairman
Mr. Harsh Mariwala and other leaders

What’s in it for you?

o Rs. 5 Lacs and PPI for National Winners

o Rs. 3 Lacs for First Runners-up
o Rs. 1 Lac for Second Runner-up
o Opportunity for 1 Team to receive seed funding to fructify their business plan

What do you need to do now as a part of initial submission?

o Register your Team on: https://maricocampusconnections.com/signup. Registrations are

open from 28 October, 8:00 PM – 6th November, 5:00 PM.
o Upload your submission in PDF Format only. Naming convention of PDF:
CategoryName_CollegeName_TeamName. Example: If you propose a business idea under
Hair Care Category and your team belongs to College XYZ, then the name of the file shall be:
HairCare_XYZ_TeamName.
o You can upload your submission between 31st October, 5:00 PM -7th November, 8:00 PM.
o Submit your breakthrough idea proposed for a category in a PDF document consisting of not
more than 2 Pages covering the following aspects

 The Idea/ Concept, Any Assumptions

 Business Opportunity & Impact
 The Target Group
 Execution Plan
 How to scale up the proposed plan
  Financial Impact: Investment, ROI etc.

Rules & Regulations:

Team Formation Guidelines:

o A team can have a maximum of three students and a minimum of two students
o Cross specialization teams are allowed
o A team can have students from the 1st year as well as 2nd year
o A student cannot be a part of more than one team
o Cross Campus teams are not allowed
o Students on exchange program can also participate, but a maximum of one student per team
can be on the exchange program and a minimum of two students should be present during
each level of the competition

Submission Guidelines

o Teams will have to submit their solutions online on the website :

o Only one solution per team is allowed - Solutions once submitted cannot be changed
o Solutions will be judged on the following criteria:
 Relevance
 Innovativeness
 Feasibility of Implementation
 Impact
