The document is a letter of recommendation from Joey Davis, Principal of El Dorado High School, for Ms. McKenzie Jackson. It states that Ms. Jackson student taught effectively during a challenging hybrid teaching schedule, adapting well to the teaching style of her supervising teacher. She connected well with students and took a job coaching girls' soccer. Principal Davis observed her classroom teaching and found her well-prepared and comfortable with both the material and technology required for hybrid teaching. He hopes she will be available to substitute teach in the spring and believes she will make a great full-time teacher someday.

To whom it may concern:
It has been my pleasure to work with Ms. Mckenzie Jackson as a student teacher. She came to EDHS as we were making the transition to on campus teaching and she has adjusted well to all the challenges of the hybrid schedule that PYLUSD adopted. During her 15 weeks of student teaching, McKenzie had about 1/3 of her students attending in cohort A, another 1/3 in cohort B, and the last 1/3 staying home full time. Ms. Jackson worked closely with Dr. Greg Beckman and she adapted to his style of teaching. She came to us from CSU Fullerton and had already completed a semester of student teaching observations at Pioneer High School. Ms. Jackson came with excellent recommendations but the Whittier district decided to eliminate student teachers due to the pandemic. We were happy to have her on campus. She connected well with students and took a job as an assistant girl’s soccer coach. In my observations, she was prepared and comfortable with the material and the technology that plays such an important role when teaching a hybrid class. I hope that Ms. Jackson will be available to sub this spring, but I know that someday soon she will have an opportunity to teach full time at high school. They will be lucky to have her.
Sincerely,
