1.
Social Problem: Lack of community Funds and service
For the past few months that we are locked in and being quarantined. The
government, particularly the community officers, should always have a solution and
a way to support their citizens. Instead there was a lack of community funds, and
service.

Solutions
To prevent this from happening during unexpected pandemic or unavoidable deluge,
the community officers should a lot a fund to this kind of happenings. In order to
provide a quality care and support for their citizens they should be physically,
financially and mentally prepared.

2.
Social Problem: Lack of job opportunities/ unemployment
Lack of job opportunities have always been a social issue for the past few years and
even up to this day we are still experiencing this kind of problem. Due to the
underemployment, Mismatch between available workers, lack of social service
providing employment and slow economic growth people have been facing with this
kind of issue.

Solutions
To address this kind of problem, there should be creation of more job opportunities
starting in the community. It is also important to reduce rural migration and remove
capital intensive bias in order for the people in the community to be prioritized.

3.
Social Problem: Youth alcohol usage
Most of the supermarket and convenience stores provide youth and underage
individuals with alcohol; which leads to youth alcohol usage and addiction to this
vice.

Solutions
In order to solve this issue, supermarkets and convenience stores can only sell
alcohol to individuals of the legal age and ask for valid IDs before purchasing the
product. In order to track and certify the person purchasing the alcohols, it is also
necessary to use the log-in process.

4.
Social Problem: Stigma on the COVID-19 Suspected Positive Patients
The enduring and seem endless journey of the continuous rising in the number of
infected person has caused panic and trauma to people. The lack of awareness
caused them to comprehend things the other way around and to make it worse they
are disgusted with those people who are in their quarantine period and tend to
gossip about them.

Solutions
Humanity, one word that can totally impact others in opening their eyes to the
realities they should reflect on especially on this pandemic. Doing some research
before opening their mouth to avoid misinformation and to refrain them from
discriminating the Suspected COVID-19 Patients. In addition, the House Bill (HB) No.
6817 has been implemented which bars the discrimination of people that are linked
with the virus.

5.
Social Problem: Emergence of Mental Health Problems
The arising conflicts brought about by the virus increased the number of Mental
illness especially those are suffering from anxiety and depression which is very timely
today. The length of the enduring times during this locked down has affected them
in a way of locking themselves in and be a prisoner of their own thoughts. From the
said above, things might become complicated when not attended immediately.

Solutions
The Department Health should also establish sufficient mental health services,
facilities, and financial budget all throughout the country to diminish and suffice the
negative thoughts of people and to completely refrain this illness.

6.
Social Problem: Students who commits suicide due to online classes
As the pandemic rapidly spread across the country, schools have shut their doors
and classes have been moved online that causes a big impact to the students.
Especially to those students who have financial problems. Depression and emotional
breakdowns among learners and parents are likely to occur in the middle of this
ongoing health crisis.

Solutions
In order to prevent this kind of situations school administrators and teachers should
not intimidate the students with nearly impossible requirements such as having
computers or tablets at home. They also need to find offline alternatives for the
lectures because there are some places that does not have stable connectivity. And
lastly, the complying and submitting of academic requirements to beat deadlines
also caused the students to suffer anxiety and mental fatigue so they should be
aware if they are giving to many requirements to the students.

7.
Social Problem: Population growth
Population growth has become a big issue in the world as well as our country. These
is because a growing population requires a growing economy and has increasing
needs. The large population becomes a problem when the space lacks enough space,
enough food and necessary supplies to live off.
Solutions
Population growth needs to be administered carefully for the betterment of people.
Awareness programs should be created about family planning and its effect on
population growth. Devices of family planning should be available free of cost to the
poor especially in rural population.
