IDENTIFY THE PRESENT ECONOMIC PROBLEM OF THE COUNTRY IN TERMS OF

1. EDUCATION
-The economic problem of our country in terms of Education is Reading comprehension
of Filipino Students, according to 2018 a study found that a sample number of 15-year-old
Filipino students ranked last in reading comprehension out of 79 countries, they also ranked
78th in science and math. One key insight from this study is it implies those tested mostly
came from public schools. The reason behind why the Filipino students lack of reading
comprehension is because they always using the gadgets, background family that they not
motivate on their children mindset, also they are not familiar in other vocabulary or we can
say limited vocabulary words. Because of some of Filipino students are disinterested or bored
of reading books and etc that is most essential in our daily lives inside and outside of the
school.
For me another problem, some public schools lack computers, facilities other tools despite the
digital age, because despite of pandemic government they’re not prepared to produce, because of
lack of budget that they need to give most necessitate sectors in our country. That some needed
of school specially this school year opening classes they see the scarcity of the school that needs
all the student for example chairs, school supplies, in short brigada eskwela needed, that they
need to focus and give an action of this issue in our education.

2. HEALTH
- The economic problem of our country in terms of Health is the impact of
COVID-19 disease, Filipino in our country suffer and problematic of amidst pandemic.
According to WHO (world organization health) the COVID-19 pandemic has had a major impact
on the capacity of health systems to continue the delivery of essential health services. While
health systems around the world are being challenged by increasing demand for care of COVID-
19 patients, it is critical to maintain preventive and curative services, especially for the most
vulnerable populations, such as children, older persons, people living with chronic conditions,
minorities and people living with disabilities. In the first outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic we
are all shock and not prepared of the outbreak, many Filipino’s die, suffer of these diseases, and
our economic little by little decrease, and the poverty of our country become varied because of
this pandemic. Many Filipino loss their job, businesses shutdown, lack of health facilities, city
conduct lockdown in different places of our country. But we are all to face and take an action of
this problem that gives difficulty in our lives, gradually we have solution and temporary to filled
up of the needed of our health sector to help Filipino’s citizen that affect of this covid-19 disease
pandemic.

3. SOCIAL SERVICE
- Social services included education, health care and etc. I think the current issue of our
country in terms of Social Service is Frontliners of their benefits in the field of work despite of
pandemic they do their job to help, to serve to our Filipino’s citizen. But they want a good
essentials benefits to secured they’re life, that to our social service that they give their life to
serve to us, however our medical frontliners mental health such as exceptional stress, extreme
workloads, difficult decisions, risks of becoming infected and spreading infection to families and
communities, and witnessing deaths of patients, that’s why they need to get big benefits and
they want the government notice how their sacrificing their lives to fight this pandemic.
B. WHAT STRATEGY YOU MAY RECOMMEND TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM

- Quality of education. The poor quality of the Philippine educational system is

manifested in the comparison of completion rates between highly urbanized city of Metro
Manila, which is also happens to be not only the country's capital but the largest metropolitan
area in the Philippines and other places in the country such as Mindanao and Eastern Visayas.
This kind of statistic is no surprise to the education system in the Philippine context, students
who hail from Philippine urban areas have the financial capacity to complete at the very least
their primary school education. Added that another problem that needs to solve is better to have
school supplies like computers, chairs and etc. lastly the environment in family cause parents
need to focused their children in reading that will help in our country to become highest ranked
in reading comprehension out of 79 countries.
The most recommended solution this problem must be that follow the instructions of
DOH by staying at home, wearing a mask, cleaning your hands through soap and water and
always observe in the environment. Through this simple and basic instructions, it will help to the
frontliner to lessen their problems and worries. And it might be the solution to be a covid-free
country. And of course reopen the store, businesses in our country to implement economic
recovery and health policy measures to control the spread of the virus and focused the benefits of
our social service like medical frontliners to continue their job or field cause as citizens we are
need them to fight against the disease that’s why they have a big role or big part in our economy.
