1. A clean, healthy and safe campus environment. This can be fulfilled if it has met several
requirements, such as having an independent waste disposal and management place so
that it does not depend on a waste disposal team, complete security facilities and
facilities are available and a canteen that provides food with a healthy menu every day.
2. Campus has a policy of being a “Zero Tolerance” area or free from cigarette smoke,
alcohol, drugs, free from gambling, such as: poker gambling, online soccer gambling,
lottery etc., and free from various forms of violence.
3. Campus is able to routinely detect any factors or risks of non-communicable diseases or
mental health. This will be better if accompanied by further examination of the risk or
symptoms that appear. This effort can be developed by building a posbindu for each
faculty that carries out checks of blood pressure, blood sugar and measurements of body
mass and abdominal circumference to detect obesity.
4. Often promote health promotion in various forms of student activities or campus staff
and employees. Students usually find many community service activities through the
KIE media.
5. Promote routine physical activity and activity such as gymnastics. This can be
developed in accordance with the resources owned by each campus according to the
schedule of teaching and learning activities that occur.
The five points above are indicators that must be met in order for a university to be
considered a healthy university. As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic which has plagued
various regions for several months, efforts to create a healthy campus and the formation of
several healthy campus communities that care about disease will increase compared to before
the outbreak of this virus pandemic. The success of the healthy campus program requires
good cooperation between all campus residents, be it teaching staff, staff, employees or
students.
