Standards and codes
Philips has developed and distributed written compliance standards, procedures and guidance
designed to comply with the Federal Anti-Kickback Statute and to help prevent Health Care Fraud
and Abuse in its daily operations.  
 
Philips has adopted the AdvaMed and NEMA/MITA Codes of Ethics on Interactions with Healthcare
Providers and has developed policies and procedures according to the guidance set forth therein.
 
Dedicated support
Philips has designated a Compliance Officer who reports to Philips Healthcare’s CEO and to the
Board of Management regularly on compliance issues.
 
Philips has established effective lines of communication between its employees and the
Compliance Officer through a toll free telephone hotline, which employees can call anonymously
to report ethics complaints or violations. 
 
Philips also has a Compliance Program Administrator who is available to answer questions,
conduct training and provide guidance to employees on Health Care Fraud and Abuse compliance
issues.
 
Continuing education
Philips provides in-person and technology assisted compliance training and education to new
employees and on an annual basis to all employees.
