A Helpful Neighbor
My alarm went off while I was away on vacation. Someone broke
into my apartment. My neighbor heard the alarm and called 9-1-1. She
looked out the kitchen window and saw a tall man in a dark jacket.
He was trying to get away through the backyard. She described the
man to the police. Later that night, the police arrested a man. He was
carrying a large bag full of DVDs and DVD players and was about to
get into a car.
I’m very glad that my neighbors watch out for each other. I feel
safe in this neighborhood. I’m going to get together with my neighbor
this weekend and take her out for dinner to say thank you for her help.
