CFC KIDS FOR CHRIST

10TH GLOBAL DAY OF SERVICE

GUIDELINES IN COLLABORATING WITH THE PARISH

1. KFC Global Day of Service (GDS) is for ALL CFC Chapters including the Family Ministries. KFC
Global Day of Service (GDS) shall be conducted in the chapter level to be more relevant to the
CFC Chapter’s local community (i.e. parish/barangay/etc.) and to maximize our reach for
evangelization.

2. The KFC Chapter Couple Coordinator will spearhead the event but will be in close coordination
with their CFC Chapter Head for guidance and support.

3. The KFC Chapter Couple Coordinator will request a meeting with the CFC Chapter Head together
with the Chapter Church Relation Officer (CRO) regarding the upcoming Global Day of Service.
This meeting should happen this month.

4. The CFC Chapter Head, together with the KFC Chapter Couple Coordinator and the Church
Relation Officer of the chapter, shall set a meeting with the local parish priest in the chapter to
discuss on how CFC can help the parish and parishioners. This is ideally done at least a month
before the GDS.
Notes:
- For chapters that have multiple parishes, kindly choose at least one parish.
- For parishes that have multiple CFC chapters, offer to conduct the GDS in their sub-
parishes.

5. Present the GDS Primer (see separate file) during the meeting with the Parish Priest to give
them a short overview of what the GDS is all about.

6. Ask the Parish Priest about their existing social programs and the beneficiaries where KFC and
the whole CFC community of the chapter can help. You may also signify to be mission partners
of these social programs.
Optional: Ask if it is possible to promote the GDS activity after the Mass to invite other
families to join as sponsors, mission partners or volunteers.

7. Reassure the priest that the CFC community will be leading and facilitating the GDS activity.

8. Update the Parish Priest regularly about the progress of the GDS preparations, its program flow
and other details.
