Welcome to online learning. We have carefully planned this element of your course so that
you continue to receive high quality teaching from the RS department.
Please follow the instructions below:
If we close before the Easter holidays: Remaining weeks leading up to the Easter holidays
(up to 4th April)

 Please find the topic you are currently working on with your class teacher or the one
you have just finished. See specific instructions for your teacher below.
 Use the zigzag notes or revision materials there to complete outstanding work /
finish the topic and make revision materials.

Starting the week beginning 20th April 2020

 Please find the ‘Christian Practices’ section of this moodle page (it is highlighted in
blue)
 You will find a scanned copy of the textbook, some zigzag course notes and week by
week information with assigned tasks. Plenty of information!
 The tasks with a hand holding a piece of paper symbol are assigned tasks.
o These should be completed weekly and uploaded to moodle by the deadline
given

We have created a virtual classroom on Seneca for you to complete revision activities after
each topic.

 Specific instructions from your teachers:
Mrs Broad
Complete the Crime and Punishment booklet (Find under Theme E: Religion, Crime and
Punishment). This should be handed in on return to school. Then move onto Christian
Practices after Easter Holidays.
Mr Charlesworth
1) Finish Existence of God and Revelation module by Sunday 19th April. Read the
powerpoints provided alongside pages 15-28 of Course notes Theme C (part 1)File ,
make revision notes/posters/flashcards. This should be done by hand in your
THEMES exercise book, then handed in upon return, OR, done as a word document
and uploaded into the relevant assignment folder. Feel free to complete crosswords
as revision activity.
2) Follow Christian Practices module on Moodle after Easter (start from Monday 20 th
April)
Mrs Gee
We have finished the Mark’s Gospel topic. Please revise by making mind maps, flash cards
and pictograms of the stories. Then move onto Christian Practices after Easter Holidays.
Mr Harper
Please revise Crime and Punishment module until the Easter break using resources on
Moodle. Then move onto Christian Practices after Easter Holidays.
Mrs Otway
Complete all tasks Crime and Punishment booklet (Find under Theme E: Religion, Crime and
Punishment). This can be printed off and completed by hand, then handed in upon return to
school, or completed as a word doc and saved. Then move onto Christian Practices after
Easter Holidays.
10a/RS4 Mrs Vardy
We are finishing Christianity: Beliefs and Teachings. Find the file listed as Christianity
Textbook: Beliefs and Teachings (Chapter 1). Read through textbook pages 18-27 and work
through the activities in the boxes on each page in your exercise book. Aim to follow this
schedule:
Friday 20/3 – Crucifixion, Resurrection & Ascension pp18-21 (7 activities, plus optional
extension & research activity)
Wednesday 25/3 – Resurrection & Life after Death pp22-23 (3 activities and compulsory
research activity… use www.biblegateway.com to look up the passage).
Friday 27/3 – Afterlife & Judgement, Heaven & Hell pp24-27 (2 activities plus make a
double-page mind-map of information about Christian beliefs about life after death,
including key-words and quotes from pages 22-27)
Wednesday 1st / Friday 3rd April – Revise all material on Christianity so far… Use the textbook
photocopies, zig zag resources and I have set this as a Seneca task with the deadline of 19 th
April. Use your usual login for my class 4xt3o8g7k2 for this.

Complete the end of Theme C powerpoint and essay plan. Complete all A3 revision sheets
which you have been given on Existence of God and Revelation. Use revision resources on
Moodle. Then move onto Christian Practices after Easter Holidays.
